While the India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) has been running full steam, this poker festival did not deter other online poker rooms from hosting their marquee tournaments. Adda52 hosted two high-value events while PokerStars and PokerBaazi had one feature event each. Let’s take a look at what went down last night.
Adda52’s staple event had 282 entries in total. The top 30 players made it in the money in this ₹11,000 buy-in event. A min-cash of ₹22,560 was paid. The advertised guarantee was surpassed and the final prize pool stood at ₹28,20,000. The tournament was shipped by Rahul Singroha aka ‘qwerty3293’, who had a payday of ₹7,21,920. The runner-up was well-known grinder Rishabh Malik aka ‘Rish1994’ who took a pay cheque of ₹4,30,050.
Adda52’s Mega Suits had 546 entries in total. The top 55 players made it in the money. A min-cash of ₹12,285 was paid in this ₹5,500 buy-in event. The advertised guarantee of this event was massively crushed and the final prize pool came upto ₹27,30,000. The tournament was shipped by Anant Purohit aka ‘Pro_baba’ who took home a whopping ₹6,55,200 in prize money. The runner up in this event was Mahesh Shyamsundar aka ‘mahikalra’ who received a paycheque of ₹3,82,200.
PokerBaazi’s Superstack had 512 entries batting for the top spot. The top 63 players made it in the money in this ₹5,500 buy-in event. A min-cash of ₹9,472 was paid. The advertised guarantee of this event was surpassed and the final prize pool stood at ₹25,60,000. The event was shipped by Dhiraj Lakhotia aka ‘supernuts’ who had a payday of ₹4,97,000. The runner-up was a mystery player ‘difsripp007’ ₹3,49,000.
The Main Event (ME) of the Winter Series on PokerStars saw 450 entries slogging hard. The top 48 players made it in the money in this ₹7,700 buy-in event. A min-cash of ₹8,839 was paid. The advertised guarantee was crushed and the final prize pool stood at ₹31,50,000. The tournament was a deal between Ayush Garg aka ‘Kyanaamrakhu’, and Karan Radia aka ‘The Annihilator.’ Both the players cashed ₹2,47,887 in prize money. Garg fired three bullets to clinch the top spot and received ₹2,93,958 in bounty money, while Radia fired two bullets and took home ₹1,01,623 in bounty money.
This unique event on PokerBaazi was a ₹10 Lakh event that rewarded the top 10 players. The event paid the top 10 players with a prize money of ₹1 Lakh. The top 10 grinders all took home ₹1 Lakh as their reward. Starting with Manoj Mehta aka ‘Manojmkm’ who took home ₹1,00,000.
