PSL 4: Gutshot Magazine Is Kolkata Kings’ New Media Partner

We are happy to announce that Gutshot Magazine is the new media partner for Poker Sports League’s (PSL) franchise teams, Kolkata Kings. This team is one of the six teams participating in the much-awaited poker league.

PSL comes from the hood of Mind Sports League Pvt. Ltd. and is India’s first poker league, aiming at giving poker an equal standing as other team sports. The poker league features a unique, team-based format, wherein six teams compete in various stages to ultimately emerge victorious. This time around players were bought via an auction.

Kolkata Kings is a team co-owned by three well-known names from the industry — Kunal Gupta, Karan Gandhi and Varun Puri. Gupta is the founder and group chairman at Met Technologies, Gandhi is the co-founder of Dangal Games, while Puri is the founder and director at PokerDangal.

Kolkata Kings is captained by pro poker player Shardul Parthasarathi. As per the rules of the league, each team should have a captain, two pros, one woman player, one substitute and six qualifiers. Accordingly, the following players are a part of the Kolkata Kings team:

• Ankit Wadhawan – Pro
• Ashish Ahuja – Pro
• Niharika Bindra – Woman Player
• Vinayak Bajaj – Qualifier
• Mohit Bohra – Qualifier
• Ashish Mudgil – Qualifier
• Payal – Qualifier
• Rishit Kumar – Qualifier
• Shane Oswald Hodges – Qualifier
