Thursday Round-Up: Tarush Gupta, Mayank Makhija & Sriharsha Doddapaneni Clinch Winning Titles

The virtual felts were flooded with entries across all poker platforms. Among these, many online regs clinched title spots. Poker brands gave players a taste of what’s to come this weekend with some high-value tournaments to whet their appetite. Bringing another Thursday to a fabulous close, here’s the full report on the action.

Godfather – ₹25 Lakh GTD

Yesterday, Adda52 held its high-value Godfather tournament with 493 total entries participating. The event had a buy-in of ₹5,500 and the top 49 places were paid a min-cash of ₹13,750. It was Tarush Gupta aka ‘tarush123’ who emerged victorious with ₹5,50,296 in winnings and a Godfather title. Right after him in second place was Sahil Nair aka ‘you3bi4b’ who won a total of ₹4,24,704 in prize money.

Trending Thursday – ₹16 Lakh GTD

The heat was on as a total of 553 entries battled it out on Spartan Poker’s Trending Thursday event. The advertised guarantee was crushed by a large margin, with the final prize pool recorded as ₹19,35,500. The ₹3,850 buy-in tournament resulted in the top 47 places being paid a min-cash of ₹11,032. But while the high octane action was filled with many players eyeing the top spot it was online reg, Mayank Makhija aka ‘$Magician$’ that took the biggest chunk of the prize pool (₹3,77,228). Makhija defeated female pro Niharika Bindra aka ‘nutcracker303,’ who won ₹2,39,614 in prize money. Bindra also shipped the Sunday Superstack tournament on Spartan Poker this week.

The Summit – ₹15 Lakh GTD

Keeping the momentum going PokerBaazi’s The Summit drew in a crowd of 240 total entries and had a buy-in of ₹8,250. The guarantee was crushed, and ₹18,00,000 was recorded as the final prize pool. The top 27 places received a piece of this prize pool with each taking home a min-cash of ₹14,940. Clinching the title spot was none other than IOPC Jan 2021 Highroller winner, Sriharsha Doddapaneni aka ‘Ivey2’ who took home ₹4,24,000 in winnings. Coming in second place, we have poker pro Vinayak Bajaj aka ‘Salmanbhai’ who took home ₹2,97,000 as prize money.
