The weekend was packed with poker action with players proving their mettle in some of the highest value tournaments. A large part of this action took place on Sunday which saw many online regs clinching the top titles. Here’s what went down.
Being one of the most sought-after tournaments, Spartan Poker’s The Millionaire witnessed 279 players enter into Day 2 of the event. While all the 279 players made the money in Day 2 with a min-cash of INR 9,500 it was poker pro Sanish Chhabra aka ‘Sanish21’ that clinched the prestigious Millionaire title. He took home a whopping sum of INR 13,45,806 as prize money. Right behind him was online reg Arjanveer Singh Chadha aka ‘bazzingaa’ who took home INR 12,91,193.

Going big and bold was Adda52’s Mega Suits which kicked-off on a high note with 544 entries joining the tournament with a buy-in of INR 5,500. The top 55 places were given a min-cash of INR 13,500 from the large prize pool. Vatsalya Singh Rao aka ‘TooEasy’ shipped the tournament with INR 5,06,020 in winnings. Next was Mohit Mehta aka ‘thejokerrrr’ who took home a second place win of INR 4,73,140.
Always ready with its Sunday tournaments, Spartan Poker hosted its Sunday Superstack event with a buy-in of INR 4,400. The tournament recorded a total of 801 entries. The advertised guarantee was crushed with INR 32,04,000 being the final prize pool. The top 79 places took a piece of this prize pool and were given a min-cash of INR 10,893. The top spot went to anonymous player ‘GOOGLE’ who won INR 5,01,131 as prize money. Second place was clinched by another mystery player ‘thecommando’ with INR 4,91,050.
One regular Sunday event that players do wait for every week is the Adda52 Millions. This Sunday, the tournament recorded a total of 198 entries who paid a buy-in of INR 11,000 to participate. The entries who came in the top 21 spots were given a min-cash of INR 22,500. It was Sahil Chutani aka ‘bluffme19’ with a winning amount of INR 6,95,000. Taking the second place was poker coach Abhishek Goindi aka ‘pomfret1989’ with INR 4,06,250 in winnings.
PokerBaazi sets the mood for players with its highly awaited Sunday event. The buy-in for the tournament was INR 5,500. A total of 385 entries played the game with the top 45 winning a min-cash of INR 11,200. Among these the title crown went to player Manish Lakhotia aka ‘thekid’ who took home INR 4,20,000 in winnings. Mystery player ‘nilar’ came second with INR 2,94,000 as prize money.

Adda52 saw some good action on their Sunday Showdown event where a total of 413 entries participated in the INR 2,500 buy-in online tournament. The top 44 places were paid a min-cash of INR 7,549. The top spot, however, went to Masroor Ansari aka ‘jason911’ who ended the game on a deal with Amit Gaikwad aka ‘penguin07.’ They took home INR 1,91,170 and INR 1,40,998 respectively.
