IOPC Day 8: Laksh Pal Singh, Sacheen Ramchandani Among Big Winners


Sunday was a mega day for poker players. Power-packed action, big prizes, bustling virtual felts, basically, everything a poker player would look forward to. Among the players who emerged victorious on Day 8 were Bhanu Prakash, Laksh Pal Singh and Sacheen Ramchandani among others. Here’s what went down on Day 8:

IOPC #43 – ₹4.25 Lakh GTD

IOPC #43 kick-started Day 8 with a bang. With 1,063 entries this tourney generated a prize pool of ₹4,25,200. Top 87 places took home a min-cash of ₹1,328.

The tournament was shipped by anonymous player ‘Reet23,’ who took home a pay cheque of ₹75,905. At the runner-up spot was ‘gulabanwar,’ who had a pay day of ₹56,203.

IOPC #44 – ₹5.50 Lakh GTD

With a spectacular gameplay by the players, IOPC #44 was an intriguing tourney. The guarantee of ₹5.50 Lakh was crushed and the final prize pool stood at ₹6,91,500. Top 31 places out of the 461 entries managed to get a share from the final prize pool. The min-cash stood at ₹6,085.

IOPC #9 winner, Sacheen Ramchandani clinched the title for ₹1,46,252. Akshat Sharma aka ‘doubledown’ finished second for ₹98,496

IOPC #45 – ₹2.5 Lakh GTD

IOPC #45 was a Omaha 6 card tourney, which managed to attract 553 entries to the virtual felts. The initial guarantee of ₹2.5 Lakh was surpassed and the final prize pool stood at ₹3,31,800. The min-cash of ₹2,298 was paid to the top 39 places. 

The tournament title was clinched by Neeraj Kumar aka ‘Jannat52’ who grabbed ₹56,548 in prize money. Mystery player ‘ArCa9i9’ finished at the runner-up spot for ₹54,206.

IOPC #46 Sunday Prime – ₹50 Lakh GTD

The biggest tournament of the night, IOPC #46 indeed set Sunday night on fire. The initial prize pool of ₹50 Lakh was crushed impressively, and the final prize pool was ₹54,90,000. Of the 1,098 entries, top 103 places drew a min-cash of ₹14,823.

IOPC January 2021 Main Event winner, Laksh Pal Singh grabbed the biggest share of the prize pool. He folded (hole cards: 4♥ J♠) on the flop yet collected ₹8,54,638 in prize money, all thanks to his loaded stack. Mohit Bhati aka ‘jacktheripper’ with his two pair (KK77) on the flop (6♦ 7♠ K♠) allowed him to grab ₹8,21,458 in prize money.

IOPC #2 Sunday Prime and IOPC #39 Monster Stack winner, Abhishek Goindi (13th, ₹57,645), Shardul Parthasarathi (15th, ₹52,155), Vikranth Varma (30th, ₹25,803), Bhanu Prakash who has nailed the IOPC leaderboard twice in July 2020 and January 2021 busted at the36th spot for ₹23,058, Arsh Grover (39th, ₹23,058), IOPC #4 Blaze of Glory winner, Harshad Barve (70th, ₹17,568), Vishnu Khandelwal (79th, ₹15,921), Myron Periera with two re-entries (64th, ₹17,568), Raghav Bansal (84th, ₹15,921), Mastermind, Millionaire Legends and IOPC #8 winner, Aniket Waghmare (88th, ₹15,921), Nitin Arora (91st, ₹15,921) and Anmol Mehta (97th, ₹14,827) were some players who finished in the top 103 places. 

Players who got busted without making in the money included IPC 2020 Main Event winner, Rubin Labroo (107th), Surbhit Grover with two re-entries (108th), IOPC #44 winner, Sacheen Ramchandani (111th), Arjanveer Singh Chadha (117th), Goonjan Mall (125th), Vivek Singh (128th), Aman Parakh (140th) and Adda52 Game Ambassador, Kunal Patni (153rd).

IOPC #47 Sunday Spotlight – ₹17.50 Lakh GTD

IOPC #47 was a blazing tourney. The 688 entries managed to crush the advertised guarantee and generate a prize pool of a little over 2 million i.e. ₹20,10,000. Top 55 places made it in the money and received a min-cash of ₹9,849.

Mystery player ‘LACHANCE’ shipped this tourney and added ₹3,89,940 to his bankroll. The runner-up spot was claimed by Harsh Bubna aka ‘Chiraunjilal Khosla,’ who cashed ₹2,47,230.

IOPC #42 winner, Mohit Mehta (61st), Sanket Arora (62nd), Sahil Mahboobani (66th), Harshad Barve (70th), IOPC January 2021 Millionaire United winner, Siddhanth Kripalani (72nd), Rohan Bhasin (81st), Myron Pereira (82nd), Aniket Waghmare (83rd), Aman Parakh (87th), Goonjan Mall (91st), Rubin Labroo (99th), Anirban Das (101st), Anant Purohit (102nd), Vivek Singh (113rd), IOPC #12 All Rounder winner, Vinay Rajpal (118th), WSOP bracelet winner, Kartik Ved (123rd), IOPC #11 Monday Spotlight winner, Manish Lakhotia (125th), Pranav Bang (135th), Kunal Patni (148th), Shardul Parthasarathi (149th) and Ankit Bajaj with two re-entries(155th) left the tourney empty-handed.

IOPC #48 D’Lite Day 2 – ₹25 Lakh GTD

IOPC #48 DLite was a multi-flight tourney with intense action. The tournament witnessed 4,800+ entries. Top 423 places were paid a min-cash of ₹1,700.

The winning spot was clinched by Bhanu Prakash aka ‘spectre,’ who took home ₹4,02,400 in prize money. At the runner-up spot, Bheem Singh Meena aka ‘MaiMeel’ left the table with ₹2,20,075 in his pockets.

IOPC #50 – ₹6.85 Lakh GTD

Drawing the curtains on Day 8 was IOPC #50. The final prize pool of ₹8,48,000 had crushed the initial guarantee of ₹6.85 Lakh. The tourney had 848 entries. Top 71 places got a min-cash of ₹3,222.

The tournament was won by Anirudh Reddy aka ‘flash,’ who laughed his way to the bank with ₹1,63,664. Mystery player ‘CashMeIfYouCan’ finished at the runner-up spot for ₹1,03,116.
