Poker Masters Online: Adams, Koon, O’Dwyer win titles!


With the outbreak of COVID-19 and postponement of poker tours around the globe, two well-known brands partypoker and Poker Central joined hands to bring the 2020 Poker Masters festival online with the series guaranteeing a whopping $15 million in prizes!

The Poker Masters Online high stakes tournament series comprises of 30 events with buy-ins ranging between 10,000 up to $50,000. The series is currently underway to continue till 26 April. It will also reward points to those players who cash and the champions of the leaderboard will claim the ceremonial purple jacket along with $50,000 as prize. So far, 20 events have concluded, leading to the creation of $20 million in prize pool.

Event 15 – $10,300 NLH 6-Max

The weekend, 18 April pulled out a total of 78 entries after each paid $10,300 buy-in to the Event #15 6-max NLH $500,000 GTD which created $780k in prize pool. The top 12 finishers made the money. The two-time SHRB champ Timothy Adams captured the $243,989 in prize money after defeating Joao Vieira in heads-up.

Event 16 – $25,500 NLH 6-Max

Jason Koon took down Event #16 taking home the biggest prize so far. This was a great event of the weekend attracting 72 entries for $25,500 which collected a prize pool of $1.8 million. American poker pro Koon eliminated Justin Bonomo for an incredible cash prize of $549,000 while Bonomo banked $369k for ending up in the second place.

Event 20 – $10,300 NLH 6-Max

Event #20 was a $500,000 GTD 6-max NLH which garnered a total of 86 entries on Tuesday. The buy-in to the tournament was $10,300 which soon became $860k in prize pool. Powering through the field was Steve O’Dwyer who secured the first-place prize money of $269,013 after knocking out David Peters in heads-up for the title.
