Poker Master Series: Rubin Labroo Ships ME, Bhanu Prakash Is Runner-Up

The much-awaited tournament series on MPL Poker—Poker Master Series concluded on a high note on 15th October 2023. Well-known poker pro Rubin Labroo has shipped the coveted Main Event title like a boss. The 2020 India Poker Champion has pocketed a prize money worth ₹5 Lakh for this first place finish.

The runner-up in this event was four-time India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) leaderboard topper Bhanu Prakash. He added ₹3,25,000 to his bankroll for his second-place finish. Kuldeep Salvi secured the third spot for ₹2 Lakh.

Poker Master Series – Main Event

This marquee tournament recorded total entries of 673 (373 unique entries and 300 re-entries). This ₹2,750 buy-in tournament saw players battle for a prize pool of ₹25 Lakh. This event which was scheduled for 15th October 8:30 PM saw many online regs slog hard to make money but only top 150 got a slice of the enticing prize pool.

Talking about winners, another online and live reg Mahesh Shyamsundar shipped the Big Bucks Sunday #101 event which was scheduled on 15th October, 9:30 PM. This player, who is a Chartered Accountant by profession took home a prize money of ₹29,250.

The Poker Master Series boasted of many marquee events which proved to be perfect crowd pullers. Events like Sunday Showstopper #16 had 618 total entries, Tuesday Slam #28 had 475 total entries. Thursday Smash #40 had 543 total entries, followed by Saturday Swag #52 which had 608 total registered players. These entry figures only further prove that Poker Master Series was a hit among players who flooded the virtual felts of MPL Poker to fight for the top spot.
