Poker Sports League (PSL) Season 7 Kicks Off

The world’s biggest and most innovative poker league, the Poker Sports League (PSL), is back with its highly anticipated Season 7, promising to elevate the sport with an updated structure, wider participation, and high-voltage entertainment. Following the announcement of PokerBaazi as the title sponsor, PSL today revealed the complete roadmap for the season and announced JioHotstar as the official streaming partner. With eight franchise teams, a new revenue-sharing model for team owners, and an expanded digital broadcast footprint, PSL Season 7 brings together skill, strategy, and showmanship like never before.

Building on the momentum of a landmark Season 6, which saw 20,927 unique participants and over 5,000 players on Day 1 alone, PSL now enters its next phase. Qualifiers for Season 7 are now live and free to enter on PokerBaazi, offering everyday players a shot at poker glory.

Season 7 introduces several firsts, from mandatory female poker pros and influencer showdowns to a new revenue-sharing model for franchises and a massive finale in Goa. What’s New in PSL Season 7

• 8 Franchise Teams: Expanded format with eight competing teams (capped at nine – next season).
• Franchise Revenue Sharing: PSL is the first league to introduce this model in India
• Mandatory Female Poker Pros: Each team will feature at least one female pro, reinforcing inclusivity and representation.
• Influencer Showdown: High-energy exhibition matches featuring popular content creators and celebrities.
• Live Streaming on JioHotstar: All matches, including the auction and finale, will be broadcast with expert analysis and immersive content.
• Grand 5-Day Finale in Goa: Season concludes with a high-octane, immersive finale at a luxury resort in South Goa.

With JioHotstar’s seamless broadcast capabilities, the entire season, including auctions and the grand finale, will be available to watch live, complete with expert commentary, studio segments, and behind-the-scenes storytelling.

How to Qualify

Qualifiers run from 25th June to 3rd August 2025 on PokerBaazi. Participation is free. Players can:

• Play any qualifiers daily at 8 pm
• Play up to 8 free qualifiers and earn leaderboard points
• Qualify for the auction by being in the top 40 on the leaderboard
• Get a base bid of INR 50,000 during the auction and get a confirmed spot in one of the 8 teams
