Pocket52 Poker Sports League 5: Most Expensive Players, Unsold Players And More


Pocket52 Poker Sports League (PSL) Season 5 Auction was recently held at Novotel Hotel and Spa, Candolim, Goa. The star-studded auction ceremony saw six teams consisting of their captains and owners, bidding for 36 qualifiers, three woman qualifiers and 15 pros.

Poker Sports League Season 5 Unsold Players

While the auction had a rule that every qualifier had to be picked by the teams, it was obvious that no qualifier would go unsold. The only category of players that went unsold were the pros. With 15 pros to be auctioned and only 10 pro spots left to be filled, five pros remained unsold in the PSL Season 5 Auction.

While some players walked away unsold, there were others who were sold for massive bids. As every qualifier started with a base price of ₹50,000, it was especially overwhelming to see online qualifiers being sold for 9x their base price. It was also the first time in the history of PSL that qualifiers were sold at such high prices. To sum up the auction, let’s have a look at the top 10 highest-sold players in PSL Season 5 Auction.

  2. Saransh Garg (Delhi Czars) – ₹4,40,000
  3. Samyak Sethi (Lucknow Kings) – ₹4,00,000
  4. Madhab Pal (Delhi Czars) – ₹3,90,000
  5. Ankit Jain (Goan Nuts) – ₹3,80,000
  6. Satyam Verma (Lucknow Kings) – ₹3,50,000
  7. Nitin Gulati (Mumbai Anchors) – ₹3,20,000
  8. Mohsin Shaikh (Deccan Aces) – ₹3,20,000
  9. Avinash Tauro (Mumbai Anchors) – ₹3,00,000

Similarly, there were pros who were also sold at impressive amounts, with teams desperate to have them in their respective teams due to their noteworthy records.
