The WSOP bracelet is one of the most coveted pieces of jewellery in the poker industry. While several poker players have won one and even multiple, several more have always been in a quest for one. In fact, some popular poker players have been in the quest for gold for several years, and it was only in 2024 that they finally got the opportunity to snag the bracelet. In this article, we list the top five poker players who have had some of the longest runs for a WSOP bracelet.
Aditya Agarwal is one of the most popular poker players in India. He has since consistently played at WSOP events. The first time he saw cash at a WSOP game was in 2007, at the 38th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, when he ranked 116th and took home $4123. The Indian poker player has played consistently since then, seeing money at the tournament in 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, and multiple years until 2024.
He finally won his first WSOP bracelet in 2024 when he shipped Event #82: $1,000 No-Limit Hold ’em Freezeout at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP), taking home ~₹1.58 Crore from a field of 1,424 players.
Dario Sammartino, an Italian poker player, has had an illustrious career that includes almost a decade and a half of poker games. His first cash was in 2008 at the Royal Poker Tour’s Main Event, where he stood 8th and took home € 3,800. He saw his first WSOP cash in 2013 and then for several more years, including 2015 and 2016. But the WSOP bracelet eluded him until it didn’t, when he shipped the Bracelet Event #61 at the WSOP 2024, taking home $2,22,703.
Sergio Adio has seen a lot of poker hands and plays in all the years of play, but it took him a complete 12 years to snag his first WSOP bracelet after his first cash at the 2012 Catalunya Poker Tour, Barcelona. where he ranked 2nd and took home $5,055. He won his first WSOP bracelet in June 2024 at the Bracelet Event #39, taking the lion’s share of the prize money of $2,026,506.
Santhosh Suvarna has long made the Indian poker community proud. He is an inspiration not just because of his playing style but also because of his achievements at the felts. He won his first WSOP bracelet in 2023, but that was in Europe, where he took home € 650,000 at Bracelet Event # 12 of WSOPE 2023. However, he snagged another bracelet on American soil the very next year, 2024, when he shipped the Bracelet Event #55, taking $5,415,152. That’s a long ride from his first cash in 2017, which happened at the Deltin Poker Tournament when he stood 7th and took home $6,973.
Jared Bleznic made his first cash in 2006 at the 4th Annual Turning Stone Poker Classic in Verona, where he placed 8th and took home $1,118. He saw his first WSOP cash in 2011 and continued playing at the most prestigious poker tournament, again being on ITM lists through the years, including in 2012, 2013, and further. However, even the veteran poker player could get a hold of the WSOP bracelet only in 2024, when he shipped the Bracelet Event #92 at WSOP Las Vegas, taking home the bracelet and $2.037,947.

Maria Konnikova has many feathers to her cap, and one of them is an iconic achievement in the poker and mind sports industry. The writer won her first WSOP bracelet in 2024 by shipping the WSOP.com $888 Crazy 8 event, taking home $68,477. She was pretty excited about it and even posted about it on her social handle.
