Phil Hellmuth Is Grinding With This 10-Time WSOP Bracelet Winner

‘Poker brat’ Phil Hellmuth is back at making headlines and how?! He first lost a record-breaking pot during a live stream at the Hustler Casino Live in Las Vegas. After that, he decided to return back home. However, he came back to Vegas and since then, he has been grinding at various cash games across the Las Vegas strip. 

Hellmuth was recently grinding at one of the tables at Live at the Bike. He shared a post on Twitter wherein he revealed that he was grinding on the same table as poker legend Johnny Chan. “Playing w the all-time great @ItsJohnnyChan Hello Johnny! #POSITIVITY” he wrote. (sic)

In the video, he is seen introducing the other players at the table. He then turns the camera towards Chan and says, “And we’ve got one of the best players in the world, Johnny f***ing Chan, in the house.” 

He then turns the camera towards himself and tells his viewers that he is up by 12k blinds, and hence he would play a couple of more “bomb” pots. 

Hellmuth later posted the results of his game. He wrote, “Won $6K today @LIVEattheBike and $19,700 yesterday. Last week won $77,700 filming in Vegas at @pokergo: about $103K…I am slowly but surely recovering from the worst 2 days loss I have had in a decade (roughly 338,000)..Congrats to @berkey11: he won $100,000 today.” (sic.)

Twitter users were glad to see Chan grinding on the tables after a long time. Chan is a Chinese poker pro who has an impressive 10 World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets to his name. This includes two WSOP Main Event titles. He dropped out of the University of Houston, where he was studying hotel and restaurant management at the age of 21. He then moved to Las Vegas to become a professional gambler.
