Nikesh Chawla Ships Turbo High Roller Event At WPT Championship Cambodia 2025

Indian poker player Nikesh Chawla has made the community proud with his recent win. The poker player shipped the Turbo High Roller Event at the WPT Championship Cambodia 2025, taking home $58,080 (₹50,37,328).  The winner’s list also saw fellow Indian Asish Ghosh rank 2nd and take home ₹49,57,420.

Nikesh Chawla is going from strength to strength in his live poker career. His first ITM at live poker was in  ~2024, at the High Roller Event (#3) of the Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT), Panjim, Goa, where he took home ₹ $5,70,541. His highest live poker cashout is $7,600, which was at Event #22 of the WPT Championship at WPT Cambodia in 2024.

Nikesh’s win is bound to bring new energy and confidence to Indian poker players. He has proven his poker skills by winning a prestigious poker tournament, a High Roller event at that.

The WPT Championship Cambodia 2025 marks the World Poker Tour’s first event of the year. The tournament began on 6th February and will conclude on 24th February, with the Main Event running from February 19 to 24 at NagaWorld in Cambodia. The tournament boasts a guaranteed prize pool of $1,500,000. It remains to be seen how many more Indians will make their mark on the WPT Cambodia felts.
