The National Poker Series (NPS) India 2025, often referred to as the “Olympics of Indian Poker,” has been a landmark event in the country’s poker landscape. With an unprecedented ₹100 Crore prize pool, this fifth edition has attracted top talent from across the nation, fostering intense competition among states vying for supremacy.
1. Zarvan Tumboli of Maharashtra:
Maharashtra has once again demonstrated its dominance in the NPS 2025 by securing the top position in the state rankings.
Notably, Mumbai’s Zarvan Tumboli, a PokerBaazi Team Pro, made headlines by clinching three medals—1 Gold and 2 Silver—within the first three days of the series. 2. Saahib Bawa of Delhi:
Trailing closely behind is Delhi, holding the second spot with 32 medals: 8 Gold, 13 Silver, and 11 Bronze. The capital’s poker scene has been invigorated by the emergence of new talents. Saahib Bawa, for instance, secured a Gold in NPS#40 Friday Freestyle and a Silver in NPS#62 Slamdunk, propelling him to fifth place on the India Leaderboard.
3. Vikhyat Ahlawat of Uttar Pradesh:
Uttar Pradesh secured 23 medals: 8 Gold, 8 Silver, and 7 Bronze. The state’s success is largely driven by the exceptional performances of Vikhyat Ahlawat from Noida, who dominated events like NPS#12 Monday Marathon and NPS#29 (7-Max) SPRINT.
4. Bhanu Prakash of Karnataka:
Karnataka has reaffirmed its status as a tournament poker powerhouse, amassing 16 medals: 8 Gold, 4 Silver, and 4 Bronze. Bhanu Prakash emerged as a standout player, clinching four medals in just four days, including Gold in NPS#37 Knockout and NPS#58 Megadive. His remarkable run has elevated him to the top of the India Leaderboard.
5. Snehil Aggarwal of Haryana:
Snehil Aggarwal led Haryana to be among the top states on the leadersboard. Haryana secured 16 medals: 6 Gold, 3 Silver, and 7 Bronze, with players like

Tamil Nadu, with 10 medals: 6 Gold, 3 Silver, and 1 Bronze, saw Nishaanth Shanmughasundaram making significant contributions by winning Gold in NPS#11 Knockout.

7. Ankit Wadhawan of Chandigarh:
Working efficiently and without much spotlight, Wadhawan delivered a strong and consistent performance throughout the series. Entering 176 events, he secured cash finishes in 118 of them, accumulating an impressive ₹22.69 Lakhs in winnings — a clear indicator of solid ROI.
His two Gold medals, earned in the NPS#65 (PLO-5) and NPS#31 Relay events, highlighted his ability to finish strong when it counted the most. Quietly confident and highly capable, Wadhawan is shaping up to be a dark horse contender in the upcoming Goa finale.
8. Goonjan Mall of West Bengal:
Renowned for his aggressive playing style, Mall left a strong mark across 150 events, cashing in 87 times and racking up ₹19.33 Lakhs in winnings. He clinched two Gold medals — one in NPS#153 (4-Max) Hyper and another in NPS#64 Deepdive — securing his spot in the NPC showdown. With a blend of experience and undeniable talent, Mall heads into the Goa finale as a formidable contender and one to watch closely
9. William Yomson of Arunachal Pradesh:
This sharp and stylish banker brought a surgeon’s precision to the tables. Competing in 153 events, he secured 59 cashes and banked ₹19.19 Lakhs, with standout performances earning him two Gold medals in NPS#138 (4-Max) Hyper SPRINT and NPS#128 Megadive. Yomso’s run was a masterclass in smart game selection and well-timed aggression. He heads to Goa with something to prove — and the game to back it up.
10. Mohit Bohra of Gujarat:
Bohra competed with laser-sharp focus, transforming his series run into an impressive five-medal tally and ₹36.96 Lakh in winnings from 126 cashes across 191 events. His three Golds (NPS#27 Slamdunk, NPS#92 Relay, NPS#112 7-Max SPRINT) and two Silvers highlighted his strong finishing ability. Racking up 32,066 points, he secured 5th place on the Series Leaderboard, earning an additional ₹8 Lakhs. Now representing Gujarat, Bohra heads to Goa with quiet confidence and a track record to back it up.
11. Sreekanth Narayan of Kerala:
Narayan battled through 131 events, cashing 54 times for a total of ₹29.58 Lakh and securing five medals (2 Gold, 3 Silver/Bronze), shouldering a significant part of Kerala’s campaign. His standout score came with a runner-up finish in NPS#47 Slamdunk. As Kerala’s champion, he heads into the NPC finale with a battle-hardened game and a proven ability to perform under pressure.
12. Anish Vijayvergia of Rajasthan:
Vijayvergia topped the 12 NPC finalists in total series winnings, raking in ₹54.2 Lakhs through a mix of steady consistency and electrifying finishes. His run was fueled by two Golds, a Bronze, and a massive ₹18.92 Lakhs payday for finishing third in NPS#82 Mega Rush. The performance earned him 14th place on the Series Leaderboard. Now, he arrives in Goa riding serious momentum—primed to chase down the biggest prize of them all.
