While the India Online Poker Championship July 2021 ended yesterday with Vaibhav Temani clinching The Crown Main Event title, the grinding on the other platforms is going full steam as WPT and APT kicked off. The Asia Poker Tour on PokerBaazi and World Poker Tour on Adda52 are enough reasons for poker pros to continue grinding for the prestigious titles.
The Monday Feature on WPT saw some real action going down on the virtual felts. This ₹3,500 buy-in tourney witnessed 442 entries battling it out. The top 49 places got paid a min-cash of ₹8,250.
The tournament was shipped by anonymous player ‘bigcards’, who added ₹3,67,500 to his bankroll. The second spot was claimed by Amit Saraff aka ‘4AcesClub’ as he cashed ₹2,17,500.
Other players who made in the money were Ashish Ahuja who departed at the 6th spot for ₹52,500, Shrihari Bang who left at the 8th spot for ₹33,750, Bharath Kumar at the 10th place for ₹18,750, Ashwin Vijay at the 11th spot for ₹18,750, Gutshot’s June 2021 e-magazine’s cover star Siddhanth Kapoor at the 17th spot for ₹12,750, Ankit Wadhawan at the 24th place for ₹11,250, Megastack winner, Manish Lakhotia at the 27th place for ₹9,750, Arun Sriram at 29th place for ₹9,750 and Sahil Mahboobani at 47th place with ₹8,250.

As the name suggests this tourney allowed 6 players per table. It generated 289 entries to build a final prize pool of ₹7,22,505. A min-cash of ₹5,780 was paid to the top 30 places in this ₹2,750 buy-in tourney.
Vivek Karwa aka ‘victor2coolsmart’ shipped this tournament and cashed ₹1,53,450 in prize money. At the second spot was ‘rishab31’ who walked away with ₹1,41,691 in prize money.
Ritwik Khanna busted at the third spot for ₹83,088. Ankit Wadhawan left at the 10th spot for ₹10,838. Mohit Mehta got busted at the 12th spot for ₹10,383, Gutshot’s January 2021 e-magazine’s cover star Gaurav Sood left at the 18th place for ₹7,586 and Arjanveer Singh Chadha left at the 20th spot for ₹6,503.
This was a turbo tourney with a buy-in of ₹50. 64 total entries crushed the initial guarantee to generate a final prize pool of ₹2,943. The top 9 places were paid a min-cash of ₹99.
‘Abhisekchem86’ won the tourney for ₹960, while Kamal Kishore aka ‘aadiisluck’ grabbed the runner-up spot for ₹478.
APT #9 was a progressive knockout tournament with a buy-in of ₹1,650. The tournament witnessed the top 45 places out of the 391 entries drawing a min-cash of ₹2,800. Bhanu Prakash aka ‘chennaino1’ emerged victorious and took home a pay cheque of ₹1.05 Lakh. At the second spot Guruprasad Gupta walked away with ₹73,500 in prize money.
Aman Parakh was also seen at this tourney. Parakh busted at the 10th place for ₹7,650. Gutshot’s Player of the Month Anirban Das busted at the 17th spot for ₹5,350. Aditya Singh busted at the 36th place with ₹3,250 in his bankroll, while Kritagya Sharma busted at 45th place for ₹2,800.
Vinay Rajpal was the bubble boy at this tournament as he busted at the 46th spot. Sanish Chabbra also busted at 48th spot without making any money. Other players who left empty handed were Manish Lakhotia at the 49th spot, Ritwik Khanna at the 60th spot, Vivekk Dube with three re-entries at the 75th spot, Ram Kakkar at the 76th place and ‘borntrouble’ with five re-entries at the 84th place.
APT #10 was one of the biggest tournaments of the night. 618 entries surpassed the advertised guarantee to generate a final prize pool of ₹21.63 Lakh. The top 72 places were paid a min-cash of ₹6,705.
Shubham Agarwal aka ‘backchod’ shipped the tourney and bagged ₹4.09 Lakh. Sanat Mehrotra aka ‘mehro2511’ took home ₹2.87 Lakh at the runner-up spot.
Aman Parakh finished in 7th place for ₹68,350 at this tournament. Bharath Kumar busted at the 13th place for ₹24,440, Dishani Vijay busted at 20th place for ₹18,390, online reg Manish Lakhotia busted at 24th place for ₹16,440, Anirban Das finished 32nd for ₹12,550, Arjanveer Singh Chadha finished 48th for ₹9,300, Myron Pereira busted at 49th place for ₹9,300, APT #9 winner and IOPC July 2021 leaderboard runner-up Bhanu Prakash finished 51st for ₹9,300, Mohit Mehta busted at the 57th spot for ₹7,786 and Ankit Wadhawan busted 67th for ₹6,705.

Ram Kakkar bubbled at this tourney at the 73rd place. Other players who couldn’t make it in the money included Sahil Mahboobani at 77th place, Aditya Singh at the 79th place, IOPC January 2021 Masterminds and Millionaire Legends winner, Aniket Waghmare at the 100th place, Vinayak Bajaj with five re-entries at the 105th spot, ‘borntrouble’ with five re-entries at the 107th spot, Ritwik Khanna with six re-entries at the 111st place. Vivekk Dube with four re-entries at the 112nd place and Vinay Rajpal with 11 entries at the 118th place.
The APT #12 witnessed a field of 496 entries on its virtual felts. The top 63 places took home a min-cash of ₹3,700. Vinay Rajpal aka ‘vinay09’ shipped the tourney and took home a pay cheque of ₹1.94 Lakh. Vivekk Dube finished second for ₹1.36 Lakh.
Ritwik Khanna busted at this tourney at the 10th place for ₹14,300. Chirag Sodha finished 19th for ₹10,000, Anirban Das finished 2st for ₹8,700, Ram Kakkar busted 32nd for ₹6,000, Guruprasad Gupta left at 42nd place for ₹5,200, Kritagya Sharma busted 43rd for ₹5,200, Aman Parakh busted 53rd for ₹4,400 and Bhanu Prakash busted at the 61st place for ₹3,700.
Armaan Kochhar with 13 re-entries busted at the 74th place without any money. Sanat Mehrotra with eight re-entries also busted at 121st spot for no money, while Arjanveer Singh Chandha busted at the 146th place with no money.
APT #13 was a turbo tourney which attracted 598 entries. The initial guarantee was crushed as the final prize pool stood at ₹9.87 Lakh. The top 72 places were paid a min-cash of ₹3,058.
Mystery player ‘littlejony’ nailed the tournament and laughed his way to the bank with ₹1.71 Lakh. The second spot was Pratibh Saluja aka ‘pratibhsaluja’ who took home ₹1.46 Lakh.
Aman Parakh cashed ₹5,722 for his 35th place finish, Arjanveer Singh Chadha at the 42nd place for ₹4,933, Kritagya Sharma at 50th place with ₹4,242 in his bankroll, Anirban Das at the 53rd place for ₹4,242 and Bhanu Prakash busted at the 67th place for ₹3,058.
Players who did not make any money included Mohit Mehta at the 76th spot, Sahil Mahboobani at the 78th place, Ritwik Khanna at the 93rd place, Manish Lakhotia with six re-entries at the 99th spot, Vinay Rajpal with seven re-entries at the 106th spot and Armaan Kochhar with four re-entries at the 108th spot.
