Monday Round Up: Akshat Verma, ‘ckps86’ and ‘nirmal512’ shipped tournaments

Holi was quite an eventful day for poker players. There were several high guarantee tournaments on Spartan Poker, Adda52, and PokerBaazi yesterday. Despite it being a Monday, the competition was fierce and finally, several players emerged victorious. Let’s do a recap of all that went down yesterday on these poker platforms. 

ReCharge – 9 Lakh GTD

This ‘ReCharge’ tournament is one of the featured tournaments of Spartan Poker. There were a total of 404 entries for this INR 2,200 tournament. The top 39 places were paid a min-cash of INR 6,210 in prize money. ‘nirmal512’ shipped the tournament and took home INR 1,80,450 in prize money.

On level 46 of the tournament, ‘nirmal512’ was leading with a chip stack in the ratio of 3:1 as compared to ‘MI7.’ The hole cards were dealt as 8♣ A♠ and 6♦ K♦ to ‘nirmal512’ and ‘MI7’ respectively. In the preflop round, ‘MI7’ raised the bet and went all-in. The community cards were revealed as 4♥ A♦ 2♠ 9♠ 8♠. ‘MI7’ had a high card while ‘nirmal512’ was leading with two pairs.

Iron Man – 8 Lakh GTD

The Iron Man tournament on Adda52 was an 8 lakh GTD event. There were a total of 436 entries and the top 49 players were paid a min-cash of INR 4,400. The winner of this tournament was ‘ckps86.’ He thickened his bankroll with INR 1,96,000 in prize money.

The Big Show – 7.5 Lakh GTD

The Big Show on PokerBaazi had 252 entries in total. The top 27 players were paid a main-cash of INR 6,225. The tournament must have surely been a long grind as it started at 8 PM yesterday and went on till 3 AM. This INR 2,750 buy-in tournament was shipped by Akshat Verma aka ‘Badger69’ who cashed INR 1,76,000.
