Logitech To Contribute $2 Million To Help The Country Battle COVID-19

Logitech, a Switzerland-based computer manufacturer, will be contributing $2 Million to provide oxygen as there is an acute shortage of oxygen supply in the country. In a social media post, Bracken Darrell, CEO of Logitech announced that this will be the largest donation as per the history of the brand.

Oxygen for India is an initiative that was started by the Center for Disease Dynamics, Economics & Policy, which is a public health research organization. The offices of this organization that helps in raising funds for medical care in India are in New Delhi and Washington D.C.

As per a report by WPVI-TV in Philadelphia, the number of COVID-19 patients dying before they can even see a doctor is overwhelming in India. Just like Logitech, Facebook, Amazon, Vivo among others have extended their support for India to fight against COVID-19. The brands contributed by donating oxygenators, ventilators, breathing machines, and more during the second wave of the pandemic.

Amazon India had said that it procured 100 ventilators with the help of its global resources to help import the ventilators to the country. While Facebook COO, Sheryl Sandberg said in a statement that the company is providing support to the frontline workers and the ones on the ground.
