List Of Live Poker Events In Asia – January 2025

Live poker events are among the most exciting, and the poker community looks forward to them. The new year is around the corner, and the biggest poker brands have announced their upcoming tournaments and events. While the year seems stacked with interesting events, one event that looks promising is set for January. It is guaranteed to blast off the year in a fitting manner for poker players and enthusiasts. 

Live Poker Event for January 2025:

Poker Dream Malaysia (January 2025)

Poker Dream 13 concluded in December, and there is already news about Poker Dream 15, which will be held at Genting Highlands, Malaysia, from 16th to 26th January 2025. Little information about the event is available now, but we know for sure that the Main Event has a guaranteed prize pool of MYR 4,000,000. As of writing this article, that amount converts to ₹8,13,80,000 (~₹8 Crore). 

The tournament has some exciting events lined up, including High Roller, Mystery Bounty and Free Roller events, making it one of the most promising live poker events to hit the felts in 2025. You can find out more about the schedule here. In 2024, Nishant Sharma of India became the Poker Dream Triple Crown winner by taking three Poker Dream Main Events. Poker Dream was set up in 2022. Since then, they have consistently held events in various locations in Asia.

Along with the game schedule, there’s a player’s party that’s scheduled for 25th January. The organizers have also planned an Influencers Invitational on 21st January.

While January 2025 has just one poker event lined up, several more are scheduled from February throughout the year. Gutshot Magazine will post this information as and when it becomes available. 

The poker tournaments set in Asia are proof that various countries and cities in the area are becoming some of the hottest locations for the biggest poker events. Even India sees another iteration of the famous Deltin Poker Tournament, the DPT Xpress, which takes place in February 2025. In 2024, DPT Xpress was hosted from 24th to 29th July 2024. It remains to be seen whether other Indian poker tournament organizers will jump into the fray.
