Jose Noboa Wins the First Bracelet of 2021 WSOP Online Series


Jose Noboa aka ‘deposit’ wins the first 2021 WSOP online series bracelet of the summer. The domestic leg of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online Bracelet Events for 2021 kicked off on 1 July. Held on WSOP.com, the 2021 WSOP Online Event £1: NLH Big 500 Kick-Off was the first tournament of the online poker festival. It attracted over 1,277 entries out of which there were 837 players and 440 rebuys.

The huge turnout of players resulted in a $574,650 prize pool of which the lion’s share was grabbed by New Jersey resident Jose Noboa aka ‘deposit.’ After a 12 hour grind, Noboa was the event winner and pocketed $105,161 in prize money. This win got Noboa his first six-figure sum. Before this, Noboa has had nine cashes in WSOP and six other online cashes.

  5.       Ryan Franklin aka ‘PostmatesSel’ – $24,250
  6.       Steve Gross aka ‘gborooo’ – $17,872
  7.       ‘chuckthebum’ – $13,389
  8.       Shannon Shorr aka ‘Aulophobia’ – $10,114
  9.       Michael Marder aka ‘ParxBigStax’ – $7,758

The event saw many notable players make the money like fifteen WSOP bracelet holder Phil Hellmuth aka ‘Lumestackin’  two-time WSOP bracelet champion Anthony Zinno aka ‘heheh,’ Jonanthan Dokler aka ‘Art.Vandelay,’ Jason Koon aka ‘eddievedder,’ etc. It was Poker Hall of Famer Jack McClelland aka ‘borgia92’ who was the tournaments bubble boy after busting in the 181st postion.

After an intense heads-up match between Noboa and Basile, Noboa flopped a full house and took the title away from Basile. The entire event was livestreamed on Twitch. The next event was the Event #2: $600 NLH Monster Stack which was streamed on 2 July at 3PM P.T (3 July, 3:30 AM IST).
