Out of the 20 players that made it to day 2, Simao led the lot with the biggest chip stack. However, despite his advantageous lead, the Brazillian pro player still had to fight for his place, especially at the final table (FT). He was once ranked as the best online player in the world by PocketFives. According to PokerCraft, Simao has managed to rake in over $1.1 million in the GGPoker Network.

Within an hour since the event’s start, the FT was already set with nine players making the cut. While Simao entered day 2 with the chip lead, it was Roman Hrabec who entered the FT with the leading stack, however, Simao was not far behind.

First player to bust out was Peter Raimondi aka ‘BigFishEight’ who came in ninth place for $20,607. He was defeated by Tom Shaham aka ‘Jabochi’ who’s ace-king got him the victory against Raimondi’s king-queen.

It wasn’t long before Le Fang aka ‘Hugo777’ exited the table in the eighth position for $27,480. Next to go was Jinlong Hu aka ‘yiliuqi’ in seventh place for $36,646 after Andras Nemeth defeated him. Things seemed to go well for Nemeth until he experienced a bad beat as his queens didn’t hold against Simao’s sixes which formed a straight with 7♠️ 5♦️ 4♠️ 3♦️ 7♥️ on the board. This put Nementh in sixth place for $48,868.
