Daniel Negreanu was playing the final table (FT) of Event #7: $365 NLH of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online, with high roller champions Jeremy Ausmus and Nick Schulman. DNegs tweeted about the same and received a cheeky reply from his rival Ausmus.
Negreanu tweeted saying, “At the FT of WSOP online event with the high roller crew @NickSchulman @jeremyausmus in a $365 buy in. I assume both will be in Poker Masters in a couple days with buy-ins a little bigger than this one.” (sic)

The four-time WSOP bracelet winner wished Negreanu good luck for his final table, but with a condition. Ausmus replied saying, “Good luck! (Except vs me 😊)” (sic.)

The table also had players like Don Himpele aka ‘blonde2020,’ Kevin Calenzo aka ‘SpecialK333,’ Patrick Eskandar aka ‘Synesthesia,’ Ryan Dodd aka ‘WhosYourDodd,’ Srinivas Tummala aka ‘Nutts’ and Christian Loucas aka ‘Quad7s.’
The six-time bracelet winner’s tournament life was later cut short when Calenzo eliminated him at the eighth place. DNegs pocketed $6,079 for his finish while Schulman and Ausmus went on to lock horns in the heads-up.
Eventually, after limping preflop, Schulman checked the flop of 2 ♦ 4 ♣ 5 ♦ , and Ausmus bet from the button. Schulman check-raised only to be three-bet jammed by Ausmus. Schulman then went all-in. Schulman showed 7 ♦ 6 ❤ , and Ausmus flipped 5 ♣ 2 ♣. Ausmus led the flop as Schulman sat with an open-ended straight draw.
The turn of 4 ❤ brought no respite to the three-time WSOP bracelet winner. The K ♠ on the river crushed his dreams as he was eliminated at the runner-up spot for $37,792. Ausmus shipped the event for $51,807 and his career fifth WSOP gold bracelet. Congratulations to the winner.
