Jasven Saigal’s FIRST REACTION After Shipping An APT Title

Indian poker pro Jasven Saigal shipped an Asian Poker Tour (APT) title at the ongoing APT Philippines 2022 series. But what this pro did after winning the coveted title will leave awestruck.

Saigal was the only Indian on the final table of Event 10 No Limit Hold’em. He entered the heads-up with Wai Chin Cheng with a hefty chip lead. He overpowered Cheng with his J 5 against J 3 on the board of 5 3 2 Q A to nail the title. As soon as Saigal realised that he had claimed the title, he got up and brought his palms together as a mark of gratitude.

The first thing any other player would do was burst into excitement and celebrate with cheer. But what Saigal did will indeed melt your heart.

Jasven Saigal’s Reaction:

Jasven Saigal's FIRST REACTION After Shipping An APT Title
The first thing Saigal did was thank the almighty for his win. He stood up from his seat, joined his hands in prayer, looked up and expressed his gratitude to God. In Indian culture, it’s a common practice to express gratitude by doing this act. Well, this Mumbai player was certainly overwhelmed by the victory and looked up to God before celebrating his brilliant win. In his Instagram stories, too, he praised God for his victory. He captioned his picture holding his hard earned trophy and winning hand saying, “What else we here for. God is kind.” (sic)

Saigal cashed Php 5,32,200 (₹7,41,355) by nailing the title. This is Saigal’s second victory in one month. He had previously shipped the World Poker Tour (WPT) Prime Cambodia Event #23 $270 + 30 No Limit Hold’em – Superstack 6-Max Finale for $6,255 last month.

Additionally, the player also has three Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT) titles, which he claimed in 2016, 2017 and 2018 respectively, and one India Poker Championship (IPC) title in 2011. He also has an APT Online title to his name, which he earned by shipping the APT India Online Kickoff 20 Lakh GTD event for ₹3.6 Lakh.
