Jason Koon Wins His 8th Triton Poker Title

Jason Koon has done it again. He created history once again by winning the eighth title of his career, which is also the highest by any player in the world. He took down the $60,000 No-Limit Hold’em 7-Handed event at the ongoing Triton Poker London 2023. He pocketed $1,570,000 for his finish.

This victory also marks his first win ever since he welcomed his second child earlier this summer. He beat Brazil’s Rodrigo Selouan in the heads-up to claim the historic victory. Koon began the final table as the chip leader, which included some notable names like Dan Smith, Phil Ivey, and Espen Jorstad.

Selouan made a hero call with J 6 on the board of 3 K 6 A T . To his dismay, Koon sat there with A K to scoop away his eighth Triton Poker title. The Brazilian player took home $1,060,300 for his runner-up finish.

Final Table Payouts:

  1. Jason Koon – $1,570,000
  2. Rodrigo Selouan – $1,060,300
  3. Justin Saliba – $690,000
  4. Dan Smith – $571,000
  5. Matthias Eibinger – $460,600
  6. Phil Ivey – $363,000
  7. Espen Jorstad – $273,500
