IOPC Day 9: Yadav, Sharma And Others Take Down Top Titles


India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) January 2022 witnessed an action-packed Friday night. Day 9 of the online poker series proved to be a success, with most events crushing their advertised guarantees. Among last night’s title winners were IOPC July 2021 leaderboard topper Anuj Yadav, Kritagya Sharma, Himanshu Aggrawal and more. Here’s the full recap of last night’s action.

The first event of the day was IOPC #52 which had a buy-in of ₹660. 676 entries battled it out in this event. Players who finished in the top 55 places were paid and the min-cash stood at ₹2,327. Shipping the tournament was player Kritagya Sharma aka ‘Kritagya_1703’ who pocketed ₹92,150 in prize money. The runner-up was Jaya Prajapati aka ‘denb’ who won ₹58,425.

IOPC #53 – Monster Stack ₹7 Lakh GTD

The IOPC Monster Stack event had a total of 527 entries and a buy-in worth ₹1,650. The tournament’s advertised guarantee was surpassed and the final prize pool was ₹7,90,500. The top 39 players made the money and the min-cash paid was ₹5,454. Mystery player ‘Ronywalker’ grabbed the top spot for ₹1,58,495 while player Ashish Pareek aka ‘X– factor’ finished in the runner-up position for ₹1,05,374.

This event had a total of 674 entries and a ₹990 buy-in. The event’s initial guarantee was surpassed, and the final prize pool generated was ₹6,06,600. The top 55 players finished in the money. The min-cash stood at ₹2,972. Himanshu Aggrawal aka ‘venomaster’ clinched the title and walked away with ₹1,17,680 in his pockets. Saransh Garg aka ‘iammrmeeseeks’ was the runner-up and went home with ₹74,612 in prize money.

Among the bigger tourneys of the night was the IOPC Friday Prime. The event had a massive player field of 2,722 entries; the buy-in stood at ₹990. In the end, the tournament surpassed its original guarantee by a decent margin and generated a final prize pool worth ₹24,49,800. Players who reached the 215 places were paid and the min-cash stood at ₹3,013. The event ended in a deal between Chandan Das aka ‘IAmAllIn’ and FTS Big Game winner Dhirendra Kumar aka ‘BustedFish.’ Das added ₹3,57,796 to his bankroll and Kumar took home ₹3,18,594 in winnings.

IOPC #56 – Friday Spotlight ₹50 Lakh GTD

The tournament crushed its initial guarantee impressively and recorded the final prize pool of ₹61,00,000. The top 63 places were paid and a min-cash worth ₹26,535 was paid. Mystery player ‘sumkr’ grabbed the top spot and walked home with a pay cheque of ₹10,00,261. The runner-up was player Vishal Bansal aka ‘TheBeard’ who walked away with ₹9,24,289 in prize money.

The IOPC All Rounder brought the incredible night to a close with 650 entries locking horns. The ₹2,200 buy-in tournament crushed its original guarantee and generated a final prize pool worth ₹13,00,000. The top 55 places were paid and the min-cash stood at ₹6,370. IOPC July 2021 leaderboard topper Anuj Yadav aka ‘TitooTauji’ nailed the tourney and had a payday of ₹2,52,200. The runner-up was ‘FuffadJi’ who took home ₹1,59,900 in winnings.
