IOPC Day 15: Akshay Kapoor Wins Big, Nails Super High Roller For Over 33 Lakh


As the India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) nears its conclusion, the action got intense on Day 15. With the ₹1.3 crore Super Highroller scheduled yesterday, the day was bound to bring some nail-biting action and big cashes. Let’s have a look at what went down yesterday.

IOPC #89 – ₹4 Lakh GTD

IOPC #89 was the first tourney of Day 15. It surpassed the advertised guarantee to record a final prize pool of ₹4,57,800. The top 63 places from the 763 entries finished in the money and the min-cash stood at ₹1,991. 

Naved Ahmed Naushad Shaikh aka ‘zenaved11’ topped the table and pocketed ₹88,584 in winnings. Madhab Pal aka ‘madhabpal2017’ finished second for ₹55,852.

IOPC Thursday Prime was an action-packed tourney with a final prize pool of ₹36,44,000 surpassing its initial guarantee. A strong player field of 911 entries battled it out for the top spot. The top 79 places finished in the money and the min-cash stood at ₹12,389.

The top 17 places out of the 152 entries at this massive ₹1.05 Lakh buy-in event enjoyed a portion of the prize pool. The min-cash stood at ₹2,38,640.
