IOPC Day 14: Chawla, Mehta, Prakash Claim Titles!

The competition is heating up on Spartan Poker with the never-before-seen series the 2020 July India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) INR 25 Crore GTD. The biggest attraction across the online felts was the much-awaited The Crown – IOPC Main Event which concluded the third starting flight. Also, yesterday was Day 14 with Destiny being cherry on top! So, let’s quickly summarise the day and find out the title winners….

IOPC #89 INR 4L GTD

Just like any other IOPC day, the first event promised INR 4 Lakhs with a fixed buy-in of INR 550. The champion, ‘varonir’ who wished to stay anonymous powered through a field of 698 entries, along the way also defeating a well-known circuit grinder Neeraj Kumar aka ‘SelfClaimedPros’ in heads-up to claim the IOPC title.

IOPC #90 INR 6L GTD

Players had to pony up INR 1,650 buy-in to enter the second tournament of the day which assured INR 6 Lakhs GTD prize pool. A total of 393 runners took to the field out of which the top 39 earned a portion from the final prize pool but the biggest chunk was taken away by online reg ‘GODSENT’ who defeated ”MummyjiAap’ in heads-up. Bagging back-to-back titles, the champion outlasted 700+ entries to take down IOPC #83 INR 4L GTD.

IOPC #91 Monster Stack INR 5L GTD

Another player bagging consecutive titles was ‘Sid297’ who took down the third event of the day. The INR 880 buy-in tourney pulled in 690 hopefuls, creating a bigger guarantee of INR 5.52 Lakhs and the top 63 players were assured INR 2.4K as min-cash. However, the event ended with a heads-up deal that saw ‘Armitrage’ securing the second place payout and ‘IveyLeague9009’ in the third place.

IOPC #92 Destiny INR 50L GTD

Online grinder Pranay Chawla aka ‘kabira speaking’ emerged triumphant in Wednesday flagship INR 50 Lakhs GTD Destiny. The event garnered a strong field of 1,145 entries, creating a guarantee-smashing INR 57.25 Lakhs worth prize pool. Chawla eliminated ‘poxz’ in heads-up adding second IOPC title. On Day 12 the winner of took down Event #81 INR 7L GTD after powering through a field of 200+ entries.

IOPC #93 INR 10L GTD

The Event 93 of the series on Spartan Poker logged in 1,248 entries, generating a INR 12.48 Lakhs prize pool. A champion was crowned in Mohit Mehta aka ‘thejoker’ who claimed his first IOPC title in the ongoing series. Mehta defeated ‘festner’ in heads-up dominating with two pairs KK77 over his KK. Money reached the top 79 spots with each one taking home INR 4,243 as minimum cash.

IOPC #94 Destiny – IOPC Edition INR 10L GTD

Spartan Poker‘s IOPC Day 14 ended the right way with the final event being IOPC #94 Destiny – IOPC Edition INR 10L GTD. The tourney registered a field of 540 entries out of which the top 60 players secured a slice from INR 10,80 Lakhs prize pool. Coming out on top was Bhanu Prakash aka ‘spectre’ who knocked out Aman Kejriwal aka ‘alwaysriver’ in heads-up with 44 to claim the top prize.

IOPC Main Event INR 3 Crore GTD – The Crown Day 1C

At 6 pm in the evening, Spartan Poker hosted INR 3 Crore GTD IOPC Main Event Day 1C that clocked in 459 entries who paid INR 11,000 buy-in. Within four hours, 64 players progressed to Day 2 and the biggest stack belonged to Madan Kumar aka ‘madsysman’ who accumulated 252,039 chips. Sandeep Varma aka ‘effuno’ is bagging 219,681 chips and ‘Glober’, in the third place with 215,030 chips, thus rounding up the top three.
