IOPC Day 13: Shah, Kodam among title winners


Another day, another success at the 2020 July India Online Poker Championship (IOPC). So far, thirteen days of fun-filled poker have taken place at Spartan Poker in this series. Yesterday concluded 7 more tournaments and the second starting flight of the spectacular Main Event – The Crown INR 3 Cr GTD. Keep reading for a complete summary of IOPC Day 13

IOPC #83 INR 4L GTD

Spartan Poker‘s IOPC Event #83 promised INR 4 Lakhs GTD that registered a field of 772 entries. While the top 54 places finished in the money receiving INR 7,384 as min-cash, it was an anonymous player but circuit regular ‘GODSENT’ who seized the first event of Day 13 after striking a three-way deal. Pankaj Sharma aka ‘Uknapdmj’ earned the second place payout.

IOPC #84 INR 6L GTD

The 1,650 buy-in event ran with a INR 6 Lakhs prize pool guarantee yesterday. The tourney clocked entries to generate INR 6.10 Lakhs prize pool. ‘Sid297’ captured the top prize and his first IOPC title after eliminating well-known circuit grinder Kunal Sharma aka ‘cvc’ in head-up with his straight over his oppoonent’s KK.

IOPC #85 Monster Stack INR 5L GTD

Monster Stack event smashed its offered guarantee to collect a bigger prize pool of INR 5.18 Lakhs through 648 entries. An anonymous grinder ‘bluffer’ championed the event after outlasting ‘AshG’ in heads-up, pocketing the first prize. The top 55 places also walked out after earning a minimum cash of INR 2,540.

IOPC #86 Mega Stack INR 35L GTD

The Tuesday marquee event of Spartan Poker, INR 35 Lakhs GTD Mega Stack headlined the day registering a giant field of 1,238 entries. The tournament blew past its advertised guarantee to collect a INR 37.14 Lakhs prize pool. Racing ahead of the rest was Avadh Shah aka ‘cateyes’ who claimed his first IOPC title in the current series after a heads-up deal which saw ‘neo888’ settling in the second place.

IOPC #87 INR 12L GTD

The 87th IOPC event garnered a field of 930 entries that accumulated INR 1.39 Lakhs in prize pool. Top 79 players would go on to min-cash INR 4,743 and in the end, the largest chunk of prize money belonged to ‘HerMess’ who knocked out Aman Kejriwal aka ‘alwaysriver’ in heads-up to win the title and the top prize after dominating his opponent with trip 7.

IOPC #88 Destiny – IOPC Edition INR 10L GTD

The 13th day of IOPC ended the right way with IOPC Edition Destiny promising INR 10L GTD. With 520 runners coming onboard, the guarantee slightly surpassed touching INR 10.40 Lakhs. Site regular Anujkumar Kodam aka ‘aatmaan108’ trounced the field and bagged a winner’s paycheque after outlasting ‘Hittuuu’ in heads-up with AA and 10 kicker.

IOPC Main Event INR 3 Crore GTD – The Crown Day 1B

The INR 3 Crore GTD IOPC Main Event – The Crown on Spartan Poker  was certainly the biggest attraction of the day! Two out of eight starting flights have already concluded and Day 1B pulled in 380+ entries accumulating INR 38.70 Lakhs prize pool. Yesterday saw 49 survivors progressing to Day 2 with ‘AkqA’ becoming the chip leader with the largest stack of 309,958.  Well-known circuit grinder Gokul Raj aka ‘Super Kings’ bagging 284,986 chips and ‘UGOTBLUFF’ in the third place for 237,256 chips. Day 1C is scheduled to take place today, 22 July at 6 pm.
