Indians Continue to Make Waves at WSOP 2025 as Four Players Cash in Event #52

The Indian poker contingent continues to leave its mark on the international stage, with four skilled players securing in-the-money (ITM) finishes in Event #52: $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2025, held at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. While none made it to the final table, their performances showcased the consistency, resilience, and growing presence of Indian talent in global poker.

Kartik Ved led the Indian lineup in this event, finishing in 211th place, pocketing $3,173 for his efforts. A well-known name in both live and online circuits, Ved’s deep run in this massive-field event once again proved why he’s considered one of India’s most technically sound tournament players. His strategic play and composed demeanour helped him navigate through a tough field, adding another WSOP cash to his growing resume.

Joining him at the payout desk was Sandipan Das, who finished 223rd, also earning $3,173. Das has been steadily climbing the ranks in the Indian poker community with solid performances both online and at live events. His consistency in WSOP events this summer has been particularly noteworthy, and this result reflects his growing confidence on poker’s biggest stage.

Close behind were Ashish Anilkumar and Abhinav Iyer, who exited the tournament back-to-back in 343rd and 344th places, respectively, each taking home $3,022. For Anilkumar, this cash marks a promising sign as he attempts to break into the higher echelons of international tournament play. His ability to survive in such a large field and make money is a positive indicator of his evolving game.
