Indian online poker events increased their share of the poker market in 2024. Several events were scheduled for 2024 and offered impressive, even record-breaking, guaranteed cash prizes.
This was good news for the Indian poker community, as they not only get to play some of the most exciting live Indian poker tournaments but also one that’s in collaboration with the global brand World Poker Tour (WPT), which comes to India in collaboration with PokerBaazi. WPT is one of the most revered poker brands on a global scale, and the collaboration created opportunities for several such instances in the future. In 2024, Indians had the opportunity to play live poker with guaranteed prizes that range from ₹10 Crore to ₹60 Crore. All this was indeed good news for the Indian and general poker-playing community.
Online poker tournaments are pretty popular in India, given that live poker is legal in the country only in certain states, and that too with a lot of restrictions. Therefore, most poker fans look for online opportunities to play their favourite game.
Tournament | Brand | Date (2024) | Guarantee |
Indian Poker Masters | PokerBaazi | 4th – 25th August | ₹60 Crore |
National Poker Series | PokerBaazi | 3rd – 24th March | ₹50 Crore |
WPT India Online | WPT x PokerBaazi | 1st – 15th December | ₹35 Crore |
G.O.A.T | PokerBaazi | 1st – 14th October | ₹25 Crore |
Adda52 Online Poker Series | Adda52 | 27th January – 11th February | ₹15 Crore |
Azadi Series | Junglee Poker | 1st -18th August | ₹12 Crore |

1000x Series | PokerBaazi | 1st – t8h September | ₹10 Crore |
Poker Premier League (PPL) | Junglee Poker | 22nd March – 26th May | ₹10 Crore |
These were the top poker tournaments with the biggest guaranteed prizes. The numbers clearly show that the country’s live poker industry is not experiencing a boom; people are equally, if not more, interested in playing online poker as well.
While PokerBaazi’s Indian Poker Masters grabbed headlines due to the high prize money (₹60 Crore), the company once again grabbed headlines because of its high prize pool and for the fact that it was the only Indian collaboration with a foreign brand, WPT. In 2025, PokerBaazi has committed that their National Poker Series will have a total guaranteed prize of ₹100 Crore, with a Main Event that will have a ₹10 Crore guaranteed prize pool.

While these were the biggest prize pools in Indian online poker events in 2024, the live poker tournament DPT Xpress created enough buzz among the Indian poker community.
