Himanshu Kataria Clinches Yet Another Title

Mondays are usually considered to be a holiday for poker players and yesterday was no different. However, more players took a break yesterday as the India Online Poker Championship (IOPC), the mega poker festival, concluded on Sunday. However, Indian poker platforms still hosted high-value events and crowned several players winners. Keep reading to know more about the action that went down yesterday.

Recharge – ₹8 Lakh GTD

Spartan Poker’s Recharge tournament had 437 entries in total, comprising 216 unique players, 85 re-entries and 136 rebuys. The top 39 players made it in the money in this ₹2,200 buy-in event. The min-cash stood at ₹6,031. The advertised guarantee got crushed, and the final prize pool stood at ₹8,74,000. The event was shipped by a mystery player who goes by the moniker ‘Rids1.’ This Blitzpoker player cashed ₹1,75,237. The runner-up in this event was Manish Ranjan aka ‘diamond101’, who pocketed ₹1,16,504.

Iron Man – ₹8 Lakh GTD

Adda52’s ₹2,400 buy-in Iron Man is a staple poker event. The top 38 players made it in the money. The min-cash stood at ₹4,800. The tournament was shipped by Himanshu Kataria aka ‘StupidCommonMan’, who took home ₹1,43,426. The runner-up in this event was Abhishek Mandal aka ‘abhisekchem86’, who cashed ₹1,39,628 in prize money. So far, this month has been quite significat for Kataria as he shipped Adda52’s The Mint a few days ago for ₹3.34 Lakh and a week ago he shipped The Texas Hold’em Championship (THC) on PokerBaazi which was a megastack event. Kataria cashed ₹2,65,000. He was alos quite active on the live felts of Casino Vegas during the India Poker Championship Megastacks May 2022. Kataria participated in 25K Kick-Off event, 20 Lakh Freeroll, and the 15K Mystery Bounty.
