GGPoker announces 2020 World Series of Poker schedule!


Almost two weeks since the announcement of 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online and the poker fraternity is already holding onto their seats tightly. The biggest and richest festival is about to begin within three days on WSOP.com and less than a month on rapid growing online poker room GGpoker. The much-anticipated schedule for the 2020 WSOP Online has been released!

Starting on 19 July, GGpoker will host a total of 54 gold bracelet events boasting a record-breaking $25 million in prize pool guarantee. The series will run until early September with buy-ins ranging between $25,000 NLH Poker Players Championship down to the $50 Big 50 which will be the lowest buy-in event in the history of the event.

The showstopper, head-turner and the single biggest guarantee tournament in the history of online poker, the 2020 WSOP Main Event comes with $5,000 buy-in scheduled to kick off on 16 August promising $25,000,000 GTD. The event will feature multiple Day 1s with Day 2 scheduled on 30 August. The year 2019 saw Germany’s Hossein Ensan in action, engraving his name in the books by become the ultimate champion and earning a whopping $10 million! (~INR 68.8 Crore).

This summer, the WSOP will hold 85 bracelet events online on WSOP.com and GGPoker. The former client will cater to players residing in Nevada and New Jersey while the latter will be available for international players.

Ty Stewart, Executive Director of the WSOP said, “We knew GGPoker would go BIG on the WSOP Online Series, but this is ridiculous. The single biggest guarantee in the history of online poker is exactly what this once-in-a-lifetime event deserves.”  The Opener, Mini Main Event, COLOSSUS and PLOSSUS are among 12 events that guarantee over $60 million along with $25 million GTD Main Event, $5 million GTD WSOP Super MILLION$ and so on. GGPoker will run a series of micro and low stake qualifying events leading up to the WSOP Online Series from 19 July, giving all players the opportunity to target a WSOP bracelet.

  • WSOP Event #38: $25,000 NLH Poker Players Championship​ – August 23 – $10 million GTD
  • WSOP Event #39: BIG 50​ – August 23 (Day 2) – $50 buy-in, $1 million GTD
  • WSOP Event #52: $10,000 WSOP Super MILLION$​ – September 6 – $5 million GTD
