India: One of the Fastest-Growing Gaming Market

The Indian gaming market is one of the fastest-growing markets in the world. The sector has flourished more since the nationwide lockdown as people confined within their home, have turned to online gaming for entertainment. The Indian online gaming industry is set to add 190 million gamer(s) and become a $1 billion opportunity by 2021, from $290 million today.

With the ability to download games on their easily accessible smart devices, the number of users have doubled during the pandemic. Gaming companies and gaming stores have been promoting discounts and bundle offers to encourage people to stay at home and play video games rather than moving out in the wake of the coronavirus.

However, as there are already many skill games based sites for Indians, there is still room for more. The needs of online gamers keep changing and there’s a need for more innovation to cater for their needs.
