The mind-blowing Final Table Series (FTS) 3.0 came to an end yesterday but the ₹2 Crore GTD Main Event action is still pending. The tournament took place yesterday and it was halted when the top five players were on the final table. The tournament will resume at 6 PM today and will see the top players sweat it out.
The Main Event chip lead is Devang Yadav aka ‘THENERDGUY’ who has a chip stack of 82,43,165. Yadav is not new to this kind of action as he previously shipped the Millionaire Legends on Spartan Poker (May 2020) for ₹30 Lakh. This 28-year-old from Gurugram, Delhi has 82 odd BB to maintain the chip lead position and lift the Main Event winner title. Will the chip leader ship the tournament? Well, only time will tell!
Following Yadav, Ankit Wadhawan aka ‘Shippament’ holds the second biggest chip stack. Wadhawan currently has a chip stack of 70,22,233 chips which come up to 70 BB. Wadhawan too is not new to final tables as he just made it to the FT in the Head Hunter event. This 28-year-old from Chandigarh cashed ₹95,497 in the Head Hunter event that took place yesterday and he was the first runner up in the National Poker Series (NPS) Super Highroller on PokerBaazi and received ₹16.71 Lakh.
Sanjay Taneja aka ‘Apollo1’ has the third largest chip stack, i.e. 24,17,944. Taneja is one of the veterans from the industry and holds several titles to his name. His previous achievements include, Taneja has shipped the 20K tournament on Spartan Poker for ₹10 Lakh (December 2017). He was also the 29th bust out among the 11,000 and more entries in the World Series Of Poker (WSOP) Little One for One Drop event. With 24 BB, his game will surely be one to watch out for.
The next player in line is none other than WSOP bracelet winner Abhinav Iyer aka ‘hightr0ller’. This player has a chip stack of 19,89,974 and holds several acclaimed titles to his name. With just 20 BB, will this poker champ challenge others on the FT?
Abhinay Devarakonda aka ‘wolowizard’ has a chip stack of 11,16,684. Though with the shortest stack, Devarakonda is well versed with how FTS tournaments take place. He was the runner up in the FTS 3.0 #21 tournament and cashed ₹3.4 Lakh. This 27-year-old has 11 BB to show off his skills on the table tonight.
