The Final Table Series 3.0 (FTS 3.0) has recently taken over the poker circuit by storm. The series third marquee tournament ran its course on Sunday night with eight players making it to the final table. However, due to certain technical difficulties, the final table could not be live-streamed. But that did not stop the final table action and in the end, it was Arun Karthik who emerged victorious and clinched the Sunday Special title. Here’s a quick recap of the final table action.
While Devang Yadav aka ‘THENERDGUY’ had a good lead with 1,696,182 chips and 57 BB, he was the first casualty on the FT. Busting first in the eight position, Yadav walked home with a prize money of ₹1,41,600. The next one to bust out was Sunil Kumar Arora aka ‘bababk.’ Arora gave it his best shot but just couldn’t hold his own for long. He finished in seventh for ₹1,95,600.
Online reg ‘borntrouble’ was the third player to bust out. While he had a good start with 63 BB, he wasn’t able to chip up fast enough and lost a lot of his stack a bit too fast. This left him finishing in the sixth position with ₹2,62,800 as prize money.
Immediately after ‘borntrouble,’ Jagat Bhandari aka ‘jk307’ was the next to go. At the beginning of the FT Bhandari had the shortest stack with 25 BB. While he may have busted out in the fifth position for ₹3,41,400 he still finished in a better position than when he first started.
Exiting with a bang in fourth position was player Rahul Kumar aka ‘BubbleDropMusic’ who busted right after Bhandari. He entered the FT as the fourth-highest chip lead and managed to finish in the same place. He took home a pay cheque of ₹4,31,400 as prize money.
Busting in third place was chip leader Piyush Jain aka ‘jacks_apart’ for ₹5,33,400. Jain played his best but ultimately could not claim the title spot. He is the second chip leader this FTS 3.0 who did not clinch the title spot. We wonder, could the FT jinx be making its way back?
The event’s runner up was none other than FTS Friday Special winner Haider Madraswala aka ‘Callmebabe.’ So far, Madraswala has been having an excellent run in FTS 3.0. Even though he finished in second place for ₹7,38,000, it’s clear that this champ is back to stamp his name on the online felts.
After an intense heads up battle between Madraswala, it was Arun Karthik aka ‘Rohini Sharma’ who shipped the Sunday Special event. He took home a lion’s share of ₹11,64,000 as his reward. Chipping up from fifth to the title spot, Karthik has once again proven that anything can happen in a game of poker.
