Friday Roundup: Anant Purohit, Myron Pereira emerge victorious!


The weekend is almost here! Friday was all about Spartan Poker’s UVS Millionaire Lite Day 1B, PokerBaazi’s popular flagship events, Adda52’s AOPS events and PokerStars India’s Uppercut. In Friday Roundup we will cover the big winners of last night just in case you missed out on anyone. Let’s explore the major tournaments… 

UVS The Millionaire

Spartan Poker’s Ultimate Value Series is just one day away from crowning its ultimate Millionaire Lite winner. Last night at 10:13 pm Day 1B concluded which pulled in 511 entries. After 4+ hours of grinding, only 43 survived to fight it out on Day 2 on Sunday, 14 June. Accumulating the largest stack of the day was ‘McFly’ with 191,638. Following the tail of the chip leader was ‘rangeela’ bagging 185,651 chips and ‘dashingtarun’ with 178,595 chips, thus rounding up the trio.

TGIF

Friday means TGIF INR 10 Lakh GTD on Spartan Poker displaying a buy-in of INR 1,650 which collected INR 10.60 Lakh in prize pool from a field of 707 entries. Fianlly, ‘Hmmmok’ claimed the title along with the first-place prize while Sathish Ananth aka ‘Jakqten’ secured the second place payout.

The Elite

Another big attraction last night on Spartan Poker was The Elite INR 30 Lakh GTD which enrolled an elite number of 415 runners to generate INR 41.50 Lakh in prize pool. When the dust had settled, it was ‘Denzong’ who collected the top prize after eliminating well-known grinder Manish Lakhotia aka ‘thekid’ in heads-up to ship the event.

The Ridge

The featured Friday tourney The Ridge INR 10 Lakh GTD drew 294 entrants for a buy-in of INR 3,300 on PokerBaazi. Ultimately, it was the man who needs no introduction, Anant Purohit aka ‘Pro_Pro’ who clinched to the winner’s prize money of INR 2.21 Lakh. Purohit’s opponent ‘PINCIOTTI’ came close to the title but settled in the runner-up position for INR 1.55 Lakh.

Pokersaint Spectre series slim

Friday SuperStack

Along with the popular Friday feature, PokerBaazi also hosted Friday SuperStack INR 3 Lakh GTD which caught the attention of 132 entries. At 2:16 am, we had another winner on the site, ‘RestInPeace’ conquered the field, taking away a lion’s share of INR 80,400 from the final prize pool after beating Anurag Srivastava aka ‘13anurag’ in heads-up who secured INR 56,310.

AOPS Blizzard

The INR 9,900 buy-in AOPS Blizzard INR 45 Lakh GTD mustered a field of 488 entries on Adda52. Money reached the top 49 spots who strolled out with a min-cash of INR 24K. The last man standing was ‘pokrefaceblr’ who defeated Goonjan Mall aka ‘gmtesting’ in heads-up to win a hefty INR 11 Lakh while Mall banked INR 6.52 Lakh.

AOPS Mini PLO

Once again boasting INR 10 Lakh GTD AOPS Mini PLO attracted 155 hopefuls hunting for the top prize on Adda52. Creating a slightly bigger prize pool, the top 17 players earned a min-cash. Ultimately, it was ‘grind121’ who took down the tournament for INR 2.85 Lakh in prize money and Srihari Bang claimed the runner-up position for INR 1.79 Lakh.

Uppercut

Online reg Myron Pereira aka ‘khAAbib’ championed PokerStars Uppercut INR 10 Lakh GTD. The Friday marquee event garnered a field of 265 entries for a buy-in of INR 4,400. Pereira defeated ‘JackNotMa’ in heads-up to clinch to the title. He won INR 1.77 Lakh while his opponent secured the runner-up payout.
