The start of the weekend is always an exciting time for poker players. With more high-value tournaments hosted by brands, many flock to the online felts for a chance to clinch one or more titles. This Friday was no different with players grinding till the early morning hours. Here’s a full recap of the action.

The Weekly Highroller – ₹12 Lakh GTD

The Weekly Highroller on PokerBaazi is one of the most awaited tournaments on Friday. It was the advertised guarantee of ₹12 Lakh and ₹11,000 buy-in attracted the top pros in the circuit. This ₹12 Lakh guarantee was also crushed with the final prize pool standing at ₹13,10,000. There were a total of 131 entries that attended the tournament. Out of this, only the one who made it to the top 15 places were paid. The min-cash of the tournament was ₹20,960.

Shipping the victory title was Sanat Mehrotra aka ‘mehro2511’ who added a prize money of ₹3,51,000 to his bankroll. Mystery player ‘luckbox99’ was the runner up of the tournament and walked away with a prize money of ₹2,46,000.

Adda52’s The Ballers tournament saw an action-packed night with 294 total entries in attendance. The event had a buy-in of ₹7,500. Players who made it to the top 30 spots were paid a min-cash of ₹18,000.

Anonymous player ‘Thespecialone’ clinched the top position and took home the lion’s share of the prize pool which was ₹4,00,266. In second place was Vaibhav Sharma aka ‘alienrobot’ who took home ₹3,92,801 in prize money.

PokerStars is known for the bounty tournaments held on its platform. On Friday, the Uppercut Progressive KO (knockout) event took place. There were a total of 186 entries that gave it their best shot at shipping the tournament. However, only the top 19 entries made the money. They were given a min-cash of ₹9,222.

Akhilesh Gautam aka ‘GM2318’ was the winner of the tournament. He managed to make the most knockouts and clinched the title spot for ₹1,88,587 in total prize money. IOPC Leaderboard topper Anuj Yadav aka ‘brockLesnar95’ was the runner up with ₹1,42,087 added to his bankroll.
