On Friday night, the high value tournaments on all poker platforms were buzzing with activity. While platforms like Spartan Poker, PokerStars, and Adda52 held their flagship Friday tourneys, PokerBaazi held its third flight (Day 1C) for its ₹5 Crore GTD Endboss tournament. Out of the 858 total entries on Day 1C, only 105 survived onto Day 2. Coming back to the action on the other online poker platforms, here’s a full lowdown.
On Friday night, Adda52 hosted its Ballers tournament which had a prize pool of ₹22.5 Lakh. The event welcomed a total of 269 entries and the buy-in for the event was ₹7,500. The top 27 places were paid, and the min-cash stood at ₹20,250. Online reg Manish Lakhotia aka ‘newkidpoker’ took home the title spot for a lucrative amount of ₹5,00,049 in prize money. While it was another online reg Vinayak Bajaj aka ‘bhai_on_mary_jane’ who walked away with ₹4,33,701.
Yesterday, the virtual felts on Spartan Poker came alive as the poker platform held its Elite tournament. With a buy-in of ₹11,000 the event witnessed a sea of 280 total entries that participated in the tournament. In the end, the advertised guarantee was crushed with the final prize pool amount recorded as ₹28,00,000. The top 27 places were paid, and the min-cash was ₹28,000.
In the title spot was none other than poker aficionado Arjanveer Singh Chadha aka ‘bazzingaa’ who added ₹5,30,243 to his bankroll. However, that was after a deal was made with a mystery player who goes with the moniker ‘madhumangal’ who ended up in the runner up position for ₹5,08,556.
The poker action on PokerStars was high with the brand hosting its Super Highroller tournament. The buy-in for the event was ₹12,500 and a total of 89 entries participated in it. Only the top 11 places were paid and the min-cash stood at an impressive ₹44,196. Clinching the title spot was poker pro Vishal Bajaj aka ‘Vishalb22’ who walked away with ₹3,58,449 in prize money. Player ‘aakhrijanam’ was the runner up of the event and went home with ₹2,75,600.
Futuristic on Spartan Poker was a hit with 1,093 total entries participating in the event. The buy-in of the event was ₹880. Players that made it to the top 95 places were paid a min-cash of ₹2,655. The tournament ended in a deal with mystery player ‘Felix Felicis’ and Tanmya Gupta aka ‘RTD27’ striking a deal. They took home ₹1,55,584 and ₹1,22,155 in prize money, respectively.
