Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff, who is also the brand ambassador for India Today Gaming’s Esports Premier League (ESPL) is seen playing Free Fire in the latest ad film launched by the esports brand. ESPL is India’s first franchise based esports tournament. The organisers shared the new ad film on its official social media handles. Vishwalok Nath, Director of ESPL also shared the new commercial on his LinkedIn handle stating, “So So proud to share the ESPL ad film with Tiger Shroff. Game Hai to Fame Hai.”

ESPL is a Free Fire tournament which features eight teams named after cities from across the country. These teams will be battling it out for a prize pool of ₹25 Lakh. The league, which spreads across two and a half months, had kick-started on June 16th, 2021. Since its launch, the league has received great response from the players. It crossed the 1 million registrations mark soon after its launch.
Recently the organisers revealed the eight teams that will compete in the last leg of the league. For the first time in the esports industry, these eight franchise teams were launched by the sports ministers of seven Indian states including the deputy chief minister of Delhi.

The Mumbai Marshals team was launched by 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐊𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐫, minister of sports and youth welfare, government of Maharashtra. The Kolkata Kaijus team was launched by 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐣 𝐓𝐢𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐲, minister of department of youth services and sports, government of West Bengal. Bangalore Ballistics were announced by 𝐊. 𝐂. 𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐆𝐨𝐰𝐝𝐚, minister of youth empowerment and sports department of planning, government of Karnataka. 𝐕 𝐒𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐬 𝐆𝐨𝐮𝐝, minister of sports and youth services, government of Telangana launched the Hyderabad Hydras team.

Similarly, the Punjab Paladins team was revealed by 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐆𝐮𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐨𝐝𝐡𝐢, minister of sports and youth affairs, government of Punjab. Rajasthan Reapers team was unveiled by 𝐀𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐤 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐧𝐚, minister of sports and youth affairs (independent charge), government of Rajasthan, and the Delhi Dukes team was revealed by 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐒𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐚, deputy chief minister, Delhi.
