Electronic Arts Cuts Down Battlefield 2042 Prices Ahead Of Launch


Battlefield 2042 is all set to launch in the coming months, however, there’s some good news for fans. The popular game has received a permanent price cut ahead of its release. The game is all set to launch on October 22nd, 2021.

Developers Dice and Electronic Arts (EA) had recently shared a five-minute long trailer of the new game. According to the teaser Battlefield 2042 is based around a future set-up. Ever since the teaser of the game was released, the fans are eagerly waiting for the launch of the game. The battle royale game seems to have a lot of new additions and updates in the new version.

However, the prices of the game seemed too expensive and players were concerned about paying a hefty price. Addressing the issue, EA has decided on cutting down the prices for the PC versions. As per the new prices the Battlefield 2042 edition will be priced from ₹500 to ₹1,000. 

The new revised price for the PC version is as follows:

Origin (PC)

  • Standard Edition ₹2,999 (earlier ₹3,499)
  • Gold Edition ₹4,799 (earlier ₹5,499)
  • Ultimate Edition ₹5,999 (earlier ₹6,999)

Steam (PC)

  • Standard Edition ₹2,999 (earlier ₹3,499)
  • Gold Edition ₹4,799 (earlier ₹5,499)
  • Ultimate Edition ₹5,999 (earlier ₹6,999)

Epic (PC)

  • Standard Edition ₹2,999 (earlier ₹3,499)
  • Gold Edition ₹4,799 (earlier ₹5,499)
  • Ultimate Edition ₹5,999 (earlier ₹6,999)

Battlefield comes with three different editions, Standard, Gold and Ultimate depending on the number of features they offer. The pricing is also set according to the features offered.

It is to be noted that the price cut is implied for PC versions only. The pricing for consoles like Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 remain the same. There is no clarity if the consoles will receive a price cut or not.

The new price cuts make the game more attractive for the players by adding an extra advantage apart from the amazing updates and features of the new game. It would be interesting to see what kind of response the game receives once launched.
