Dubai Culture’s Director General, HE Hala Badri, highlighted the profound significance of the Dubai Gaming Visa, aligning with the visionary ideals of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
This initiative not only elevates Dubai’s status as a hub for innovation but also fosters a vibrant ecosystem for entrepreneurs, investors, and creative minds in the gaming industry. By attracting talent and companies specialising in gaming, content creation, and AI, Dubai is working towards its cultural vision of global prominence, nurturing creativity and talent.
The Dubai gaming visa, among the diverse cultural visa categories, extends its embrace to writers, artists, intellectuals, and creative individuals across various sectors, aiming to enrich Dubai’s cultural tapestry. This initiative will boost Dubai’s strategic objectives of becoming a prime destination for living, leisure, and career opportunities.

Aspiring applicants can access the visa application process through the Dubai Culture’s website or designated channels, furnishing requisite documents and demonstrating their contributions to the cultural landscape.

Visa encompasses individuals from six distinct sectors: cultural and natural heritage, performing arts, visual arts, books, audio-visual media, and design and creative services. This initiative aims to foster skill development and investment opportunities, empowering individuals to translate innovative ideas into successful projects.
Dubai Culture Director-General Hala Badri also praised the Dubai Gaming Visa as a representation of the UAE’s vision and ambitions, enhancing the emirate’s appeal as a premier destination for entrepreneurs and developers.
Badri emphasised Dubai’s goal to establish itself as a global creative economy hub by 2026. Applicants are required to submit educational qualifications, proof of community contributions, job roles, and copies of various documents such as passports, residence permits, Emirates IDs, cultural biographies, and CVs. They also need to provide details of their addresses, places of residence, occupations, and workplaces.
It’s important to note that obtaining approval or a permit from Dubai Culture does not constitute a final approval; it is part of the necessary procedures to obtain other approvals from local and/or federal authorities. Applicants must be 25 years and above, and Dubai Culture reserves the right to reject any application without providing reasons.
Additionally, applications must be submitted by the applicant personally, and Dubai aims to create 30,000 new jobs in the e-gaming sector by 2033, demonstrating its strong support for the industry’s growth within the emirate.
