VIPT Hanoi 2024: Deepankur Gupta Ships Vietnam Open

Indian poker pro Deepankur Gupta nailed the Vietnam Open tournament at the ongoing Vietnam International Poker Tour (VIPT) 2024. The title holder had a 2:1 chip lead going into heads-up and finally Gupta closed the tournament with a win.

This much awaited tournament had a buy-in of VND 8.8 Million and an advertised guarantee of VND 4.5 Billion. The overwhelming number of entries helped the event surpass its initial guarantee. With the total number of entries settling at 936, this tourney saw 117 survivors battle it out on Day 2. 

Coming to Gupta, the Indian pro steadily beat competition to make the final table and eventually grab the title and trophy. The Vietnam Open champion had a payday of VND 1.2 Billion. Gupta defeated Vietnamese player LSP Tien Sang in heads-up who took home a pay cheque of VND 880,800 for his runner-up finish.
