David Funkhouser Opens PGT Mixed Games II With A Win


PGT Mixed Games II kicked off this week at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas, and the first winner was crowned on Friday. The winner was David Funkhouser. Funkhouser topped a field of 72 entries in Event #1: $10,200 H.O.R.S.E. to win $187,200.

Funkhouser came into the final table third in chips. He had to weather the storm early, but Funkhouser would eventually find himself heads up against Paul Volpe. Funkhouser got the best of the matchup to win the first event of the series.

PGT Mixed Games II is the second edition of the PGT Mixed Games series. The series features nine mixed-games tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $5,100 to $25,300. PGT Mixed Games II is part of the PokerGO Tour (PGT), with players eligible to earn PGT leaderboard points for finishing in the money in events. 

There is a PGT Mixed Games II series leaderboard that ranks the players by points earned. The player to finish with the most points and top the leaderboard through all nine events will be crowned the first-ever PGT Mixed Games II champion and win the series’ $25,000 championship bonus.
