Danny Tang Wins His Fourth Triton Poker Title In Six Months

China’s Danny Tang created history last night at the ongoing Triton Poker Series London 2023 happening at JW Marriott Grosvenor House in London last night. Tang recorded his fourth Triton Poker title in nearly six months.

Tang took down the $60K NLH 8-handed event at the ongoing series and banked an impressive $1,600,000. The event had a total prize pool of $6,360,000, which was paid out among the top 17 finishers.

With this, Tang now proudly flaunts a total of four Triton Poker titles on his poker resume, with all of them won this year within a duration of six months. He won his first title at Triton Poker Series Vietnam 2023 at the 25K Short Deck event for $427,000.

His next two titles came from Triton Poker Series Cyprus 2023. Here he won the $50K NLH Turbo and $50K Short Deck Main Event for $545,000 and $750,000 respectively. Finally, he added another feather to his cap with last night’s victory.

With this, the Chinese player has taken his Triton Poker title tally to four titles. Along with this, he also has 21 cases from the series to show off.

Additionally, he now is only the second player in the world after Jason Koon, who has eight titles, to have four Triton Poker titles to his name. After winning his first Triton title in Vietnam earlier this year, Tang had said that he wasn’t sure if he would ever get over the line. He always watched all his friends and colleagues pick up trophies and thought to himself that he had been left behind. And now, within just six months, he has an envy-worthy collection of titles to boast about.

In the post-event interview, the Natural8 ambassador struggled to pinpoint how he managed to take down the title, saying, “I don’t know what to say, I really don’t know what to say. I think I’ve played pretty much the same. I’ve maybe improved a bit; playing with these guys every day, you’re going to improve. But I wouldn’t say my skill level has improved dramatically compared to six months ago.” Finally, he attributed his win to Triton Poker’s late founder Ivan Leow saying, “Ivan’s blessing, right?”
