Danny Tang Leads Day 2 Of $50,000 Short Deck In SHR Series Europe

Merit Crystal Cove Resort and Casino in North Cyprus is hosting the Super High Roller Series (SHRS) Europe. Danny Tang is currently leading among the final five players into Day 2 of Event #5: $50,000 Short Deck. Tang is a Natural8 ambassador and also a World Series Of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner. Hong Kong’s Tang is one of the well-known Asian players. Among Natural8’s team Hot members, Tang is the first player to clinch a WSOP bracelet.

In the event Event #5: $50,000 Short Deck, Tang holds a lead which is double of what Lun Loon has. Trailing in third is Jason Koon, followed by Paul Phua and Seth Davies. Take a look at the SHRS Europe Event #5 Day 2 Chip counts:

Poker maestro Phil Ivey also tried his hands at this event. After winning Event #4: $50,000 Pot-Limit Omaha, he switched to this Short Deck tournament. Ivey busted when his king-jack ran into Wai Kiat Lee’s pocket aces. Tang took the chip lead position as Lee got eliminated. Tang’s ace-king improved to a straight which cracked Lee’s pocket queens. Other well-known players who could not make it to the final table (FT) are Stephen Chidwick, Cary Katz, and Chris Brewer.
