The 54th edition of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) kick-started at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas and has been the talk of the town ever since. Chris Brewer captured all the limelight when he managed to win a $250,000 High Roller at WSOP 2023. Let’s take a deep dive into Brewer and have a look into his poker career after his impressive achievement.
The former collegiate runner from Oregon turned into a poker player in 2015, with his first big appearance coming during the $1,100 No Limit Hold’em #37 Deep Stack Extravaganza III, Las Vegas in 2015. It was the same year when he made his first appearance in the World Series of Poker by playing the WSOP $1,500 No Limit Hold’em (Event #45) during the 46th edition of the tournament.
After getting his first tournament cash in 2015, Brewer went on to feature in a lot more high-stakes games, with the American pro often seen being a regular at Triton Poker events as well as the PokerGO studio. Chris Brewer continued to shine and grow over the years, with his next big achievement coming in 2021. The 30-year-old won the Poker Masters $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em event and pocketed a massive pay cheque of $427,500.
The novelty of the score is how he just got over his previous best score of $420,670, which he won the $50,000 Super High Roller at the World Poker Tour (WPT) Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open just one month before this Poker Masters triumph.

After multiple attempts, Chris Brewer went on to make a name for himself at the biggest stage possible. He won his first WSOP title by emerging victorious at the $250,000 High Roller event pocketing $5,293,556.
As of June 2023, Chris Brewer has crossed over $15 Million in career tournament earnings and a GPI rank of nine. Having pocketed $15,389,190 so far, it remains interesting to see how he fares from here on, with a lot of tournaments set to follow at the WSOP 2023.
