The unavailability of PS5 has been bothering Indian gamers for a few months now. Recently, bollywood actor Boman Irani recently shared a picture of himself with his new PlayStation 5 (PS5). Games The Shop is a private Mumbai-based retailer. It is similar to America’s GameStop. The retail business is held by its parent company E-xpress, which is the largest game distributor in India and has a virtual monopoly in the market.
An employee at Games The Shop, who reportedly helped these celebrities get their consoles, told buyers that the celebrities purchased their consoles from their website. However, when IGN India verified the claims, it was found that the site had gone down just minutes before pre-orders of PS5 went live.
