Battlegrounds Mobile India: Release of iOS Version Looks Uncertain?

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) was officially launched on 2 July 2021. The developer started pre-registrations for the highly-anticipated game in mid-May. After officially launching BGMI, Krafton is reportedly working on the game’s iOS version.

The South Korean gaming giant hasn’t revealed the release date for the game’s iOS version. The discussions in the Battlegrounds Mobile India community in India have no confirmation about the release date with respect to its iOS version. Gamers with Apple devices may have to wait a bit longer than expected.

Popular gamers like Kronten Gaming, Abhijeet Andhare aka Ghatak also mentioned that the iOS version of Battlegrounds Mobile India will not release any time soon. BGMI’s official launch in India was a huge success as it also also extended the ‘India ka Battlegrounds’ gifts and rewards. Talking about the official release of the game, Changhan Kim, CEO, Krafton said, “I am highly delighted to introduce Battlegrounds Mobile India to Indian users.”

Following the official launch of the game, Krafton is also expected to host BGMI’s inaugural esports tournament series this month. The developer revealed that they wish to establish a proper esports ecosystem with BGMI. Krafton has been in talks with several partners, teams, and players for the esports events.

Krafton aims to promote a solid gaming culture in the country and reportedly has a robust plan in place. The brand wishes to build an esports ecosystem that will produce gaming content regularly and will also prove to be a major platform for gamers to showcase their talents.
