Ashish Ahuja wins Sunday Stacks, Wanderers on 9stacks

Just a couple of days back, popular community player Ashish Ahuja won the Sunday Stacks online poker tournament on 9stacks (sign-up with code “GUTSHOT”), bagging a healthy bankroll addition of INR 3+ Lakh. Wednesday nights see Wanderers INR 6 Lakh GTD being contested on 9stacks, their mid-week featured tournament which attracts decent participation from around the country. Yesterday’s tournament had a buy-in of INR 5,500 and it was wrapped up at 2:22am this morning, having slightly passed the INR 6 Lakh guarantee with 91 unique players participating and 33 re-buys in all.

INR 10,230 was the minimum cash prize paid out to the top 20 places in last night’s tournament and there were quite a few known names to finish in the money including Gaurav Sood aka ‘mozzie17’ (15th), Sam Anand aka ‘Lokimon’ (9th) and Sandeep Varma aka ‘effuno’ (8th).

In heads-up too, Ahuja would’ve faced stiff competition from Arsh Grover aka ‘BigggTymeR’, with the latter eventually settling for second place and a cash prize of INR 1,02,300. Hakoonah Matata literally translates to no troubles and no worries, and if Ahuja keeps winning at the virtual felts like this, his life will also slowly become a trouble-free one.
