APPT Cambodia 2023: Ashish Munot Finishes Runner-Up In Mystery Bounty

The ongoing 2023 edition of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) Cambodia 2023 series has been going on in full swing at NagaWorld Integrated Resorts in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Indian players have been performing exceptionally well at the series. In the latest update, poker pro Ashish Munot came close to winning a title after he finished second at the Mystery Bounty event. The pro player pocketed $14,550 for his finish, along with bounties worth $4,180, while China’s Bin Zhang took down the title for a lion’s share of $15,598. Zhang also pocketed $7,700 in bounties.

The multi-flight event attracted a total of 243 entries across two days, out of which the top 38 players advanced to Day 2. All these players ensured a place in the money.

In the final hand, Munot came in with a massive stack, but Zhang scored a couple of double-ups, which helped him win the title. First, Zhang’s queens overpowered Munot’s As 2d, and the former scored a double up.

After losing these two massive pots, Munot was down to just 2 BB, and eventually bowed out at the second spot. Apart from Munot, Amit Kaushik also finished on the FT at the sixth place for $4,033.
