At the World Series Of Poker (WSOP) 2024 Event #95 $1979 Poker Hall of Fame Bounty No-Limit Hold’em, India’s Ankit Ahuja brought in the prize money of $77,787 by claiming the fifth spot after an intense battle. At the beginning of the day, with just 29 seconds left on the clock, the Indian poker pro insisted on playing the last hand before everyone was supposed to go on a break.
Ahuja went all-in, he couldn’t hold against Adam Hendrix’s Ladies, ending his journey in the game. With this, he fell short of winning his maiden WSOP bracelet. The event, held at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas saw Jamie Walden of the UK secure his first gold bracelet, with a cash prize that was more than $300K. He beat Naseem Salem in a heads-up match that lasted four levels. Walden beat more than 1,100 entrants to win the top prize, which was more than his previous best-score by 10-fold.
