Aniket Waghmare wins SSS opening event on Spartan

Every month The Spartan Poker comes up with exciting tournaments and promotions for their players in the country and this time it is none other than Spartan Super Series – Special XS Edition. Last day saw the Day 1 of the series and the very first event of the series and the day SSS #1 Mega Freeze (Lite) 3L GTD (2200 FO) was shipped by none other than Aniket Waghmare who plays under the moniker ‘Anteman’ for INR 77,250.

The tournament saw a participation of 282 entries where the prizepool was collected by top 18 places with a min-cash of 4,800. Waghmare is a 26-year old from Mumbai is a Machine Learning Engineer, he recently shipped the Big Daddy tournament on Sunday for INR 95,000 and grabbed a poker package to Goa worth INR 30,000. He defeated ‘Dragon Kewe’ in the heads-up battle who claimed the second place prize for INR 51,500.

The SSS #1 Mega Freeze (lite) tournament comes under cool tournament leaderboard challenge, this tournament will carry points for SSS leaderboard too which 4L to uptop.

The tournament ended in the Level #42 with blinds 7,600-15,200-1,520, where the heads-up opponents Dragon Kewe had [Jd Tc] and Anteman had [4d 5d]. Pre-flop action saw both going all-in. The final showdown of the tournament saw Jh 7c 5c 4c 8s. The board gave two pairs, Fives and Fours to ‘Anteman’ and the title.

The series is scheduled with many high value tournaments with massive GTD’s this month The Millionaire is also a part of the series which is the Main Event of the series with INR 1 CR GTD on a buy-in of INR 7,700.
